13 Miles Later
This past weekend was one of the laziest I’ve had in a VERY long time. It stormed out almost all day Saturday and Sunday which led me to do only three things:
1. Run 13 Miles.
Despite the crappy weather you gotta do what you gotta do. I’ll be honest and say I didn’t really feel like running. Mentally I wasn’t into it at all, but sometimes you do just do hard things because it’ll benefit you in the long term.
I’ve run 12 miles a handful of times since my last half marathon in February, but never 13…
Why yes, I do want a medal ; )
2. Take Cecil to the Vet.
It was time for his annual checkup … I always have to prepare myself for visits to the vet because Cecil HATES going.
He got a clean bill of health (except he needs to lose 3lbs), but it took the vet tech and I 45 minutes to get him back in his carrier.
Once we got home he went completely back to normal and got directly into my lap and went to sleep.
(The green thing is a $10 off coupon for my local running store … I believe new shoes are in my near future!)
3. Marathon Watch Orange is the New Black.
I started with Season 1 on Friday night and as of Sunday night I am on Season 2, Episode 11.
Each episode is one hour long so please don’t do the math or you’ll be sad for how many hours I spent on the couch this weekend.
I have SO many favorite characters though! Poussey is definitely my #1, but I also really like Taystee, Watson, Sophia, Cal (Piper’s brother) and Miss Claudette (I was sad to see her go).
So, all in all I had a really low key weekend and really liked it. I think I just needed to recharge my batteries after last week.
