Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there! I hope you are being properly celebrated today (and all days).

I decided to vlog yesterday so I’ve got that to share with you today!

My mom loved her Mother’s Day gifts. I got her a Chloe perfume set, a big box of Ferrero Rocher and some pretty flowers (as you probably saw in the vlog).

Cecil somehow knew exactly what I wanted for Mother’s Day.

I don’t know how he knew I wanted a bunch of things from Tarte. It’s seriously like that cat can read my mind (and use my debit card).

I am just in love with Tarte packaging. The bigger stick is the Rainforest of the Sea lip rescue in Buff. The little one is a sample of the Rainforest of the Sea lipstick in Set Sail.

I’m wearing the Buff lip rescue in my vlog. It’s pretty sheer but very glossy and not stick at all. I wish it had a little more color but overall I really love it. I haven’t tried Set Sail yet but I will let you know once I do!

I also got the Drink of H20 moisturizing gel. I was suuuuuuper excited to try this because I usually like gel moisturizers … but unfortunately this one is just not great for me.

I put it on Saturday morning and everything seemed fine until I applied my primer on top. Suddenly it looked like I had little bits of white paper all over my face. I’m guessing the gel and the silicon in my primer just aren’t getting along. I’m going to exchange it for the cleanser and see if I like that better.

BTW I think Sundays are going to be the day I post videos and chat about beauty stuff :).

I hope you are having a great weekend and I’ll be back tomorrow with some running chat. I’ve got a lot of thoughts about speedwork after this last week of training!

Did you do anything special for Mother’s Day?
Your favorite face moisturizer?

I love Vlogs! I have more time to watch them on Sundays too. Hey you need a wrapping station in your house. Somewhere you have bags, tissue paper, bows, ribbon, etc. After Christmas next year, go get a bunch when it’s 80% off. You can get some solid color bags too that can be used for birthdays. Also, STOCK UP ON CARDS at Dollar Tree. They actually do have nice cards and most are 50 cents or $1. Then you ALWAYS have stuff and you never have to make a special trip to Target. Wait, what am I talking about? YOU WANT TO GO TO TARGET I AM ON TO YOU!!!! 😉

Hahaha I have a wrapping drawer with tissue paper in it. I actually used some red tissue paper from Christmas to fill in the bag. I probably should stock up on bags and things like that though since they can be expensive.

I cannot imagine ever stocking up on cards because I mostly think they are pointless. I splurge on cards for Adam’s family because they are the only people I buy cards for. In my family a couple of years ago I asked if we could stop buying each other cards. I mean at Christmas time I was spending like $100 just on cards! Luckily my family agreed that cards are pointless and we just stopped buying them for each other!

YES it’s true I enjoy going to Target! I went so many times last week. I need to stop going because the store is taking all of my money!
