I like chick flicks, comedies and movies from the early 2000s. In my humble opinion the 2000s were the best time for movies and music, but I bet most people feel that way about the time period that spans their teenage and early adult life!
Today I thought I would share five of my all time favorite movies. If you find yourself with some spare time this holiday season, consider cozying up with your favorite people and popping these on!
Sweet Home Alabama
This is hands down my favorite movie of ALL TIME. I love Reese Witherspoon and I think this is her best movie ever. The film is funny, her romantic co-lead is charming and it has a happy ending. Literally everything I want in a movie!
Just simply a classic. Before I discovered Mindy Kaling, Reese was my top girl. I mean it was really hard for me to not add Cruel Intentions to this list but I didn’t want it to be ALL Reese movies. It makes me so happy that Mindy and Reese are friends and staring in a movie together that comes out soon (and that it’s a movie adaption of a book that I loved as a kid)!
Two Weeks Notice
This is Barbara and my movie. We saw it in the movie theater multiple times, and we watch it together almost every time we see each other. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant have such good comedic chemistry, this is SUCH a good romantic comedy!
When I first starting dating Adam and he saw this DVD in my room he was like WTF is this? Honestly? It’s comedy gold. During the 2000s I thought Martin Lawrence was the funniest person in the entire world. This movie is a modern, funny take on medieval times!
Well, if I’m going to talk about Martin Lawrence I can’t skip over one of the best films of all time: Blue Streak!
I saw this movie in the theater multiple times, and every time I see it on TV I watch it through to the end. While all of the movies above could be categorized as chick flicks (yeah, even Black Knight), this is one you can watch with non chick flick lovers!
Goblet of Fire
I know I said this was a top five list, but no top movie list of mine would be complete without a Harry Potter mention. My favorite of all the books and movies is Goblet of Fire.
If you’re a Potter fan you know why this movie is in my top life, and if you’re not a Potter fan you probably don’t care so I won’t say anymore!
What is your favorite movie or what are you favorite movies of all time?!
Do you like any of the movies on this list?
