Another post from my phone because Comcast continues to stink like Munster cheese.
It’s already Tuesday! YAY!
On Sunday night Adam locked our keys in the condo gym (the door automatically locks behind you)… We weren’t able to get them out yesterday, so no gym time.
It was probably for the best since my legs have been feeling kind of tired the last couple days.
I realized yesterday that it’s been 10 days since I’ve taken a full rest day. I’ve included plenty of cross training days over the last week and a half, but haven’t taken any real breaks.
The days highlighted in orange are days I have worked out so far this month.
Last night I didn’t take an off night, but I did keep it light with a workout video (30 day shred) and a yoga video (Runner’s World Essentials again …. Dancer’s Pose, I am .0000234% closer to being able to do you!).
This week I will only be running three days, and will have three cross training days plus one full rest day.
My coach put in 4 running days and 3 XT days but my legs are telling me I need to cut back a running day this week. Since I’m in a down month with regards to mileage anyway, I’m not too concerned.
This month and next are all about short distances and working on my pacing. As long as I get in a good speed work day and a long run day each week I will be happy with whatever happens the other days.
By the end of April I am shooting for a shiny new 5K PR. I kind of suck at aiming for a PR and achieving it … For me PRs almost always come when I least expect them, but I am really going to try hard this time.
I want to learn to focus my mind and push hard. I think those are two skills that can only benefit me come marathon training time. It’s so easy for me to just go light and zone out on a run, but it’s time to try something different! Gotta keep it spicy!
Other than work, running and working out I’ve been candle making like a crazy person (my candle shop)! Orders have really picked up in the last month — in fact they are pretty much back to the numbers I was seeing during the holidays! : ) : ) : )
Pretty soon Lilypad Candles will take over the world!
