A Day In the Life

I’ve been seeing day in the life posts around the blog world lately, and think it’s interesting how we all spend our days so differently! Here’s my Day in the Life post!

Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, I noticed I was late…

-The Beatles / A Day in the Life

7:25 AM: I hit snooze two times and eventually get up to shower around 7:45.

8:00AM – Follow Cecil to the kitchen for breakfast.

Cecil likes his breakfast right on time. As soon as I step out of the shower he starts meowing and then runs to the kitchen.

8:30AM: Leave the house and head to the post office to mail the latest batch of candle orders!

Say hi to my favorite mail ladies who always congratulate me when I have a larger than usual order : )

8:45AM: Drive to work and listen to either Mike & Mike in the Morning on ESPN or the local sports channel. I like to get both the national take, and the local take — especially when it comes to the Heat because the two vary so much!

We kind of like the Heat in south Florida.

Pulled up to this bus at a stoplight yesterday! GO HEAT!

9:30AM – 6PM: Work, work, work and drink coffee.

6 – 6:45PM: Listen to local sports radio on my drive home. I kind of really like sports. During football season I always listen to The Phinsiders, a show dedicated to the Dolphins! Can football please come back already!

On Mondays and Wednesdays I also call my mom to catch up for a little bit, and on Tuesdays I usually call my dad to talk sports.

7PM-ish – 8PM-ish: Feed Cecil dinner, eat a snack and head out for a run! Last year at this time I was always running at the local park, and I’ve just started doing that again.

While there’s no officially sanctioned running track, one of the loops is just about a quarter mile and the other is just about a full mile.

I usually end each run down Victory Lane aka this straight shot down my parking lot:

8PM – MIDNIGHT: Eat dinner, watch TV with Adam, make candles, package up candle orders to be shipped the next day, take a post-run shower, etc. These hours are usually jam packed.

MIDNIGHT – 12:30AM: Give Cecil his midnight snack so he doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night. Read in bed for at least 30 minutes to unwind and get sleepy.

Do it all again the next day … unless the next day is Saturday. On Saturday’s I don’t get up until 10AM : )

Do you have a favorite radio show to listen to on your way to/from work?

What time do you go running/to the gym?

That is a crazy schedule, and Cecil sure does live the life lol.

I listen to Mike and Mike in the morning also. It’s switched over to local sports at 6 am so I go to a local Rock station at that time.

I usually run around 8 pm after the kids go to bed. Or at 5 am before I go to work.

What a busy day! by 7:45 a.m. I have already been sitting at my desk for 45 minutes. I am getting worse with the snooze everyday. My alarm starts going off at 5:20 a.m. and lately I haven’t been feet on the ground till almost 6. I clean litter, feed everyone, and shower and dry my hair by 6:30, and yes I look a fright every day lol

Wow! That is a packed day! I am glad you get to sleep in on Saturday! I like listening to sports/news radio after I drop off my kids at school (it’s about 40 minutes one way, so we listen to music or quiz the kids on spelling, etc. on the way there…) I run when I get home after that…

Wow! You go to bed LATE!!! When you are going out for your run, I am winding down for bed. 🙂 I am guessing you are a night owl? My hubby loves Mike and Mike in the morning- you guys would get along well! I love to listen to NPR to and from work.

    Fun post!!
I run in the morning – 5:00 am! The main reason I’m usually in bed by 10:00pm.
I switch the station a lot in the car – I like to find songs I enjoy!

OMG, how do you function without any sleep!?! i would die if i stayed up that late every night. although, i’m woken by a little human alarm clock at the most un-godly early hours…

looks like your candles keep you pretty busy! that’s so exciting. is your goal to someday quit your “day job” and do that full time?

Your days seem busy, but in a mostly fun way!! I love seeing what bloggers do when they’re not blogging 🙂
