I’ve been seeing day in the life posts around the blog world lately, and think it’s interesting how we all spend our days so differently! Here’s my Day in the Life post!
Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, I noticed I was late…
-The Beatles / A Day in the Life
7:25 AM: I hit snooze two times and eventually get up to shower around 7:45.
8:00AM – Follow Cecil to the kitchen for breakfast.
Cecil likes his breakfast right on time. As soon as I step out of the shower he starts meowing and then runs to the kitchen.
8:30AM: Leave the house and head to the post office to mail the latest batch of candle orders!
Say hi to my favorite mail ladies who always congratulate me when I have a larger than usual order : )
8:45AM: Drive to work and listen to either Mike & Mike in the Morning on ESPN or the local sports channel. I like to get both the national take, and the local take — especially when it comes to the Heat because the two vary so much!
9:30AM – 6PM: Work, work, work and drink coffee.
6 – 6:45PM: Listen to local sports radio on my drive home. I kind of really like sports. During football season I always listen to The Phinsiders, a show dedicated to the Dolphins! Can football please come back already!
On Mondays and Wednesdays I also call my mom to catch up for a little bit, and on Tuesdays I usually call my dad to talk sports.
7PM-ish – 8PM-ish: Feed Cecil dinner, eat a snack and head out for a run! Last year at this time I was always running at the local park, and I’ve just started doing that again.
While there’s no officially sanctioned running track, one of the loops is just about a quarter mile and the other is just about a full mile.
I usually end each run down Victory Lane aka this straight shot down my parking lot:
8PM – MIDNIGHT: Eat dinner, watch TV with Adam, make candles, package up candle orders to be shipped the next day, take a post-run shower, etc. These hours are usually jam packed.
MIDNIGHT – 12:30AM: Give Cecil his midnight snack so he doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night. Read in bed for at least 30 minutes to unwind and get sleepy.
Do it all again the next day … unless the next day is Saturday. On Saturday’s I don’t get up until 10AM : )
Do you have a favorite radio show to listen to on your way to/from work?
What time do you go running/to the gym?
