I didn’t have a post for Friday because my off-day was actually on Thursday this week. (Normally my rest day is Fri.)
Plus, I spent all of Thurs. exhibiting at a conference for work.
I was standing from 8am until 5:15pm which taught me an interesting lesson. There are two types of soreness for legs, the kind you get from moving for long periods of time (aka running a long-distance race) and the kind you get from standing without moving for long periods of time.
Running is definitely preferable … to standing or sitting. But I did get to pick out a new office chair this week at work and that was kinda cool.
My team went down to Staples and sat in a bunch of chairs. We each got a $200 budget from our boss to find the perfect chair for our butts. I sat in every chair they had and wouldn’t you know that the very last one ended up being The One? So typical.
Last night I ran 5K and it felt great. It was just a very easy run since I have my long run today.
Overall I think I’ve had a good running week. I only cut one run short. On Tuesday I was supposed to do 4 miles and I only did 3. However, yesterday I had the choice between 2 – 3 miles and I did 3.1 so I think I kind of made up for it. Sort of.
Aaaaaand before I leave you I had to share this pic of Cecil who should be nicknamed Josey Grossy.
He loves to hang out and sleep in Adam’s gym bag. This isn’t any ordinary gym bag, it’s the bag Adam takes to his MMA class and contains his smelly, sweaty gear.
Cecil likes to climb inside and can be frequently found sleeping in it. Crazy cat.
