Some runs are amazing and make you appreciate every single thing in life. Other runs… not so much.
Yesterday I did a slow and uncomfortable 5K. I was supposed to be doing nine miles, but my calves just would not loosen up for anything. I spent some time rolling with my stick and decided to table the nine for today.
It was probably a good idea to only do a short run yesterday anyway since I was so excited to try my new Adrenalines out (even though they are exactly the same as my old ones).
It could have been the new shoes that caused the calf tightness, but I wouldn’t blame it on them too much. This just happens to me every once in a while.
In other news, I built a new cabinet today all by myself! This is the first time I have put together anything on my own that did not come from IKEA.
As I was hammering things Adam asked if I needed help but I said no. I had the song Miss Independent (lyrics) by Ne-Yo running through my head and was feeling “like a boss” : ). I did end up with a lot of screws left over which is somewhat of a concern……….. is it normal for there to be 8 extras?
Provided that the whole thing doesn’t fall apart, I need to figure out how I want to actually arrange all the compartments. Obviously the way I have it now is really … unbalanced looking.
From a practical standpoint I like having three of the bins on the top row though because it makes for easy access of all the little things in there. (I’m storing a lot of my candle making supplies that I want quick access to).
Maybe if I add three more bins to the bottom row it will look balanced / okay? I’ll have to buy some more and give it a try.
