Last night was my first run since Saturday! The weather was literally perfect (65 degrees) and as soon as I got home from work I was ready to G-O.
Unfortunately my legs weren’t ready to go. It took me almost two miles to feel warmed up. I kept having to stop and stretch my calves out.
Eventually I hit my stride and felt really, really good. My running coach only wanted me to do four miles to test the knee and make sure it was back to normal. ..I think it is. I might have felt a tiny little twinge once or twice but mostly I didn’t notice it.
I can’t believe how fortunate we’ve been weather wise the last couple of weeks. I’ve been going to Starbucks to get a venti Awake tea after lunch to keep me warm after lunch. Mmmm.
Cecil has not been enjoying the weather so much. I’ve been opening the sliding glass door to let some of the cold air in at home and he’s like “wtf is wrong with you?!”
He might not be able to say the words but I can see it in his eyes.
Yes, he’s laying on the dining room table. Is that allowed? Well, I pretend it’s not when we have guests over.
I’m so glad it’s Friday. I cannot wait to sleep in this weekend and maybe do a little shopping. I still have some Macy’s gift cards from Christmas that I need to use!
