Back to Normal

Hey there! Sorry there were only a couple of posts last week, but I’m back to normal now :). After a hectic week I had a pretty chill weekend.

Saturday morning I woke up and lounged around the house for a little while, sipping coffee and getting caught up on blogs and vlogs.

Of course I was drinking from my favorite cat mug! I wanted to vlog over the weekend, but when it’s been a while since I have filmed anything I get camera shy. I need to get back into the swing of things. I meet with the doctor that is going to do my surgery on Wednesday so maybe I’ll vlog that day this week!

After easing into the morning I headed out to the post office to ship out some BEAMM orders. I love knowing that my packages are making their way around the country … and the world. I had an order from France a couple of weeks ago!

Don’t forget, if you’d like to order anything you can use code KRISTINASFRIEND to get $5.00 off your order of $10.00 or more (and free shipping in the USA).

After the post office I headed out to the mall to meet a friend (whose name is also Kristina with a K) to do a little makeup shopping.

Unfortunately I didn’t find much. I got a sample of Stellar Limitless foundation in S09 which ended up oxidizing into a shade too dark once I actually tried it on at home :/. I also got the Tarte matte waterproof bronzer in Hotel Heiress which I really like.

I wanted to get the Anastasia liquid lip in Sarafine but it was sold out. I checked online and it’s sold out everywhere online too! I’ll have to keep a lookout for it’s the exact red color that I’ve been looking for.

I also found these in the shop across from Sephora:

If I can think of a specific use for the cat plate I’ll definitely go back for it. It’s a bit much but I like it!

Sunday was another relaxing day. Adam and I slept in and hung around the house before heading over to his dad’s for a BBQ and pool day.

It’s hot out ya’ll. When we got in the car to come back home the temperature read as 99 degrees. That’s more than I can handle. Send me to the north pole! πŸ™‚

I hope you had a great weekend and that it was relaxing/fun/exciting/whatever you wanted it to be!

Best thing from your weekend?
Favorite coffee brand to drink at home?Β
I’m all about Folgers in your cup πŸ™‚ Is the jingle stuck in your head now?! haha

That pool looks so nice! I think if you’re outside in Florida in the summer theres no other option than to be in the pool. I have a Keurig and drink a brand called caza trail.

Ohh I’ve never heard of caza trail I’ll have to look that up! Thanks!

With temperatures that high, a pool day sounds like a must.

My go to coffee is Mighty Good Coffee – they are a local place that roasts all their own beans.

It seriously is so necessary. The heat + humidity this summer have been such a killer. I feel like I say that every summer but this summer has been brutal. We keep breaking records or coming close!

Welcome back!!! The cat plate is very cute! It could be a jewelry trinket tray, soap dish, put your keys on it… sit it on your desk at work… I bet it is so fun sending out orders! πŸ™‚ The best part about my weekend was going to Knoebels with my family on Friday.

I would LOVE to have a pool but I don’t know if I would love the heat/humidity in FL πŸ™‚ I complain when we get snow/ice but I am learning I shouldn’t do that–overall we do have amazing weather. You can come see my anytime to escape that heat! My whole weekend was awesome. Friday night super low key (how we like it), Saturday Rick and I went to Denver to walk the 16th Street Mall and have lunch. Sunday was all about baking, doing art work and one Target run (in which Rick was super helpful)…then getting caught up on RHONY (why do I watch this nonsense?!? it really is so lame). Only a few more days and then you will have plans for your surgery/recovery!

I had to Google RHONY to find out what it was! Hahah we all have a show or two we watch and wonder “why am I doing this?” For instance, right now I am watching WWE Raw! πŸ˜€

I worked on Saturday but mostly lounged around on Sunday! Trying to figure out a better work/life balance as always, lol.

I am in the market for a new setting powder, mostly for my under eye concealer. Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Hahahah yes as always. It’s especially tough the first year of being your own boss because you’re so compelled to work work work!

I am really loving the LORAC Pro Blurring setting powder! But I am on the hunt for a concealer that works with my new foundation – I switched to Too Faced Born This Way. I like the foundation a lot but every concealer I’ve tried (and I’ve tried like every option in Sephora including the Born This Way concealer) separates! :/
