Back Workout and Cecil Update
It’s 8:15pm and the vet’s office just called to give me an update on Cecil. I was under the impression that I was supposed to get two calls per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I actually called the vet’s office earlier today to check on him and his nurse wasn’t around to give me an update. I honestly feel so relieved to have gotten an update just now I could almost cry. I love that cat a lot.
Cecil’s nurse said that he’s doing well and his radiation numbers are coming down as expected. She said he really just needs to pee a lot and make one big bowel movement before he can come home (that’s how he will excrete the radioactive material).
Supposedly he ate and drank well today so she expects by Friday he’ll be ready to go. I can’t wait because the house feels so wrong without him marching around!
Last night to distract ourselves from being cat-less Adam and I got in a good workout. We started by warming up with jump rope, squat ball throws and some other things.
We always do our warmup outside. I’m not totally sure why but the weather has been super nice so I’ve been happy to get outdoors as much as possible. I think we’re supposed to get another “cold” front next week but it’s going to be tame. The high one day is 69 degrees which is cold but not freezing, even for us south Floridians.
I got to use my new beats X earbuds again and I must say that I really, really like them. The sound quality is great, they stay in my ears AND they charge super fast! Having the earbuds is making me want to buy the beats over-the-ear headphones… but I really don’t need to. But I want to. But I don’t need to. But I want to…. these are the thoughts circling my head at the moment :).
We did a back day, which really just involved rows for me. I wasn’t feeling 100% but I still worked my way up to 5 x 85lbs which I am proud of. My upper body is definitely weak compared to my lower body but I’m working on it and making progress!
It’s hard to tell I have 85lbs loaded up on the bar because I put my plates on incorrectly. Instead of putting the bigger plate inside I put it on the outside so it’s blocking the other plates. I should have adjusted them but I was feeling tired and just wanted to get on with the workout.
Some days are just like that right? Next time I will load my plates correctly and I will lift even more weights! 🙂 That’s the plan.
Now, should I buy those Beats headphones? 😀
