Big Blog Changes Are Here

It’s hard to believe but I started my blog five years ago, in March 2013. I have experienced so many highs and lows in life during that period of time and I’ve shared most of those here on the blog.

I’ve made online friends that have turned into real life friends, and I’ve made online friends that I talk to more than my real life friends ;). I love that this blog has helps me connect with other runners, other cat moms and other Sephora VIBs, haha.

Today marks a bit of a transition for me as a blogger. I’ve decided that I want to put a lot more time and effort into vlogging. I know many of you do not like to watch vlogs. I hope we can still connect on Instagram (I’m @KristinaRunning). I’m going to post running updates to my Instagram Stories more often. And maybe you’ll even watch a vlog or two from time to time.

I’m going to keep the vlogs short; two to three minutes in most cases, just highlighting the things I would have written about if I was going to blog. Like this vlog from Saturday:

The idea is to keep the videos short enough that you can take a couple minutes during your lunch break, while you’re sitting in your car, while you’re taking your makeup off, to catch up with me.

I’ve been saying I want to learn Final Cut Pro X (video editing software) for a long time now, and I enjoy the process of video editing as a creative hobby. This is going to push me to finally do that.

I might return to regular blogging in a week or a month or never – who knows!

If you want to see my daily videos please subscribe to my YouTube channel. I’ll also be posting them here to my blog every day for a while with a little note to say hello :).

Thank you to everyone who reads my blog. I hope that you like the vlogs!

Which YouTubers do you like to watch?
I watch Amelia Liana, Estee Lalonde and Zoella all the time.

I can’t wait to watch your vlogs:) I’m sad you won’t be blogging but I think I will like the vlogs even more!

I hope so! When I first discovered vlogs back in 2009 I instantly loved them, but not a lot of people were doing them. Around 2012 YouTube seemed to explode with vloggers and now I have a handful of people I watch almost every day like a TV show! Adam has vloggers he watches too that talk about videos games, etc. stuff that he’s into :).

You vlog plus a cup of coffee is a nice way to catch my breath before jumping into the day. And thanks for continuing to post them here so I don’t have to go to youtube to watch…I am lazy and change is hard, lol.

Those Easter cat towels are adorable!

I’m so glad to hear that! That’s how I watch vlogs too. I like to watch makeup-y vlogs in the morning. I find people talking about makeup to be soothing hahahah! Then I watch lifestyle or comedy vlogs at night!

Since you mentioned they are short, I certainly could watch them while doing my morning makeup. Eyeliner and mascara pretty much take me 2 minutes, so I could fit it in! 🙂 That’s cool that you are learning new software. Good luck!!

A perfect fit! I subscribe to so many vloggers now that I just prop my phone up and watch a vlog whenever I’m doing any mundane task. I have them playing in the background when i’m getting ready for the day, when I’m cooking, etc.! I kind of thing of vlogs like a replacement for TV shows!

Subscribed 🙂 I need to make more of an effort to watch your vlogs. For me, it’s hard to sit down and watch videos because I like to multitask, so I end up missing stuff. But I think carving out time to “hang out” with you a couple minutes each day will be fun!

Thanks Ali! You know what? I often watch vlogs while I’m doing other things! I usually put a vlog on while I’m getting ready, another vlog while I’m cooking, etc. They are great for multi-taskers because you can often get everything you need just from listening!
