Blog Update + First Workout!
Hey guys! This is going to be a short post because I am not even sure it’s going to show up.
Lately my blog has been loading really slowly, and sometimes new posts won’t show up for a percentage of readers unless they refresh their browser 2-3X. I upgraded my hosting in the middle of the night, which is why I’m not sure if this post will go live or not. I usually schedule new posts to go up around 4:30am my time, which is when the transition will just be wrapping up.

Last night I got in my first strength training workout in our new home gym!
It is actually a miracle that I was able to lift my arms to take this picture at the end of my workout. I ended up doing this shoulders and arms workout plus I added on a few lifts such as chest press and bicep curls.
The steering wheel move leaves your shoulders/arms feeling like jello! I used the 10lb plate to do 3 x 15, and Adam used the 40lb plate “because I’m going light today.” #ShowOff
Next time I won’t use the 10lb plate that’s for sure. I hate that Adam can do 40lbs and I only did 10. I won’t let that happen again! (I don’t know why I get so competitive with him and no one else in my life!)
Adam and I are still waiting for our power cage to get here but we have everything else that we need to get in a good workout!
We’re building a nice little collection.
I need to get some 30lb dumbbells, but I want to see if I can find them at a used equipment place like Adam found some of the heavier plates we got (aka those rusty ones above).
He’s really enjoying having his own gym!
Don’t worry, I don’t think it’s possible for those weights to land on his toes unless something goes drastically wrong.
Also don’t worry because I will add motivational quotes to the wall soon too :).
Do you listen to music to pump yourself up when lifting?
