My training has been on point this week. I’m on track to log over 30 miles and each run is seriously feeling so good. It’s like I’m right in the middle of an amazing training cycle even though it’s actually coming to an end.
Per my coach, after the race this weekend I’ll be taking two weeks of recovery and then I’ll jump into some spring training that will take me wayyyyy out of my comfort zone. More on that soon!
Yesterday was an off day for me, but I had a surprising amount of energy when I got home from work.
I pulled out my mat and did the Butt Buster workout that’s in the Nike Training app (free).
It’s only 15 minutes long but it works you good!
After that I was glad it was a rest day and I showered and put my pjs on 🙂
Today after work I’ll be heading over to the A1A expo for packet pickup and then it’s on to race weekend!
I’m thinking about signing up last minute for the Fort Lauderdale 5K on Saturday. I have 2 miles plus strides on my training schedule anyway and I think it could be nice to just use it as a fun run….
Speaking of races, if you’re planning to sign up for the PAWS virtual 5K/10K I can tell you that most people are signed up for the 10K! I am not surprised 🙂
Today I’ve got to send a big THANK YOU to the following donors who have added their name to the growing list of virtual racers:
- Margaret from Balancing Meanderings is a triathlete with two adorable kitties. She recently placed first in her age group at a stair climbing race!!!!
- Karen from Running Over the Hill has six adorable kitties (did I miss any?) and shares my love for sparkly things. Inside joke. 😉
- Lauren from The Foodie Runner is the best coach I could ask for! She’s helped me PR like crazy during the last 10 months and she has two of the cutest doggies!
Thank you again to everyone who has registered so far! If you’re on the fence about it or have any questions drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org!
(I promise next week I will talk about this wayyyyy less. I’m just really excited about it right now. I’ve never been a race director before! haha)
Have an awesome weekend!
Next time we talk I’ll be a a 5X half marathoner!
What are you up to this weekend? Any special v-day plans?
