Hey guys! Today I’ve got a post that’s probably going to be all over the place. I would normally do this kind of post in vlog format but I’m still trying to get rid of my Invisalign lisp and haven’t felt like vlogging with it.
Speaking of Invisalign, since I got my attachments on Tuesday my mouth has been sore AF. The attachments are these little nibs the ortho put on my teeth that attach to the Invisalign trays to keep them snug against my teeth and my teeth do not like it.
The good news is that endorphins are nature’s pain killer! All day yesterday my mouth was hurting and as soon as I finished my run I realized I had ZERO pain. I was practically dead from running in super high humidity but my mouth didn’t hurt and that felt like a good compromise to me :).
I had a Quality Session with 10 x 1 minute intervals that were supposed to be @ 12:40 pace. I’m still having a hard time regulating my pace and was a little all over the place, although I was more consistent than I have been to date.
I think I have trouble regulating my pace during these intervals because 12:40 feels easy-ish and my body wants to go faster but my mind is telling it to go the prescribed pace so there’s this struggle between the two. Hopefully I’ll get to the point where I can find what my intuitive pace for these should be once half training comes around. Right now I think it’s probably closer to 11:50 – 12:00.
Anyway, this is completely off topic, but I recently came across a cast picture from the live action Aladdin set and I’M OBSESSED. The guy in the brown shirt is playing Aladdin and like, C’MON HE LOOKS LIKE ALADDIN!
Aladdin is, was, and always will be my favorite Disney movie… and not just because I sometimes think I’m Princess Jasmine and Cecil is Rajah, although that does happen. I mean is there any better Disney moment than the A Whole New World scene?
I think I’ve posted this video before but Lea Salonga and Brad Kane reuniting and singing A Whole New World is everything.
The movie doesn’t come out until next year but I’ve got my popcorn and I’m ready. I did hear there’s some white washing happening (suddenly there are two new white characters) which is a bit concerning. I mean the film doesn’t need new characters at all, but I’ll reserve judgement until I see it.
I’m hoping to see Oceans 8 this weekend to support my girl Mindy, and I want to watch Love Simon sometime soon too. I keep hearing such good things about it.
Who has time for all these movies though?! Me I guess now that the basketball finals are over haha!
Have a great weekend!
