Hey there! I went MIA for a few days last week, but I’m hoping that I’ll be back on track with blogging this week!
While I’ve been gone I’ve been working a lot, but I’ve still found time to do a couple of things for fun. Here’s what I’ve been up to:
1. Bought This Pretty Kate Spade Heart of Gold Bangle
I’ve been wanting a plain gold bangle for a while and finally bought one last night – I hope it gets here quickly!
I wanted one that I could pair with a string bracelet to dress down with jeans and pair with a nicer bracelet to dress up. I think this one will work perfectly – and for only $32 it’s a steal!
Next up I need to find a rose gold watch that’s not gigantic. For some reason I feel like rose gold watches are all giant and have a million diamonds (either fake or real) in them. What’s up with that?
2. Watched Amelia Liana Videos
I’m not really into makeup or hair stuff to be honest. I have a few basic products I use over and over again every day, but for some reason I really like watching her talk about makeup, hah!
Adam hates her voice and makes me watch her videos with my earphones on. It used to bug me a little bit too but I’ve gotten used to it.
If you’re into makeup-y stuff or just have some time to kill you might like some of Amelia’s videos.
3. Obsessed Over Mindy’s Next Book
It doesn’t come out until September but I already love it based on these chapter topics.
Sadly I haven’t opened up Tina Fey’s Bossy Pants book since we got back from the cruise. I really want to get back on the train of reading at least 30 minutes a day. It used to be a standard part of my routine and I’ve gotten away from it.
I am hoping to right the ship in May and get back to reading and running.
Which brings me to my next point…
4. Planned My Return to Training
I’ll do a longer update on my training plan and recovery from bursitis soon, but the main thing to know is that I ended up taking all of last week off from running. Womp womp.
I had started feeling a little twinge in my left hip on Monday and I REFUSE to let the bursitis come back into my life. Feeling that twinge reminded me that there is a difference between being 99% better and 100% better.
As of Friday I am finally feeling 100% with my hips! I can lay on either side for however long I want and there is no pain at all! HALLELUJAH!
Monday I start building back my mileage and I also start a new weight lifting plan that will help me strengthen the right areas of my body to hopefully prevent the bursitis from ever returning.
