Checking IN!

Hey! Sorry I’ve been absent from the digital world almost all week. I’ve had a million and one things going on that I want to catch you up on… but that will have to wait until tomorrow. As soon as I finish my long run I am grabbing a tall glass of ice water and catching up. I bet there are so many NYC Marathon recaps I need to read!

Today I just want to check in and say hi!

Everything is going well over here. I’ve been doing the usual: eat, sleep, run at the beach, repeat.

It’s been way hotter than a November should be over here. The temps have hovered in the upper 80s almost every single day. The newspaper says Fort Lauderdale is close to experiencing record highs for the month. I’m just a little bit jealous of everyone talking about weather in the 60s!

Do you think I can blame being a slow-ish runner on it being perpetually hotter than hell over here?

Okay, I’m signing off for now. I hope you have an amazing Friday and lots of fun things planned for the weekend. Let me know what you’re up to! I don’t really have anything planned so I’m open to ideas :)!

PS: Megan, please let Paul know the Miami Dolphins are coming for revenge on Sunday! FINS UP!

Seriously, I check weather all the time! It has been warm here too, 80 again today 🙁 we jump all over though, it’ll be 55 one morning and 70 the next. It was very muggy yesterday, it felt like summer, and you know I am all about those lower temps.

I know you are! I am feeling the same way right now. It’s way too hot here, even in the mornings before the sun rises and at night after the sun sets. I hope once of these cold fronts can make it down for a couple of days for a visit!

    Hey, I’ve missed you!

It was unseasonably warm here until a few days ago and then all of a sudden – FALL. All caps because it was super sudden and dramatic. Temperatures dropped by 20 degrees in one day and stayed there! Of course, I’ve been thinking that this all happened just in time for my half this weekend 🙂

WOW! That’s such a big drop! I hope you had an awesome half marathon. Can’t wait to hear all about it!

Paul says, “Those petty little dolphins have nothing on my rough tough bills.” Then, as an aside he said to me “It’s going to be tough because the dolphins have been looking good.”

I was wondering where you have been! Glad you were just super busy and excited to get caught up on Kristina’s world!

Ugh, Paul was right. With the exception of our spectacular win over the Texans we’ve been a mess!

Congrats Paul, way to get the double win over us again this year 🙁

My sympathy on the heat! It has been much warmer here than it usually is this time of year too, but luckily the mornings are still cool.

I’m with you on summer-like weather we’ve been having. Now that I’m not running for the time being, it’s not so bad, but I really feel for the people who are training for the 13.1 coming up next weekend. I remember that we had cooler weather at the same time last year. Now it’s in the 80’s all the way to the race, wow! Can’t believe it.

Thanks for popping in…I was just thinking that you’d been quiet and I was hoping things were okay!

This weather is making me irrationally angry. IT’S FREAKING NOVEMBER.

I think its been warmer than usual everywhere last week! I was in New Orleans and when I complained about the heat and humidity I was told it was also warm and humid in Maryland. Hopefully it will start to cool off a bit for you soon!
