Chicago Marathon Training Week #7
Last night I saw a water spout during my run!
Seeing it reminded me that last year during 4th of July weekend a water spout touched ground on the beach and sent people scattering. There must be something about this time of year that makes us prone to spouts!
The run was HUMID.
The rain never reached the beach so it was just sticky and gross out. Chicago is going to feel amazing this fall! (I’m counting on it.)
Here’s my week #7 training recap:
(BTW I can’t believe I have finished week seven already!)
Monday: Total rest day 🙂
Tuesday: 5 miles easy @ 14:53
Wednesday: 1mi w/up, 1m-2m-1m @ 13:34 w/800m jog, 1mi c/d
Thursday: 5 miles easy @ 15:03
Friday: .5 w/up, 2 x 2mi @ 13:44, .5 c/d
Saturday: 4 miles easy @ 14:45 + 1mi walk
Sunday: 11 miles easy @ 15:01 + 3mi walk looking for Pokemon with Adam
I didn’t do any strength last week! I feel properly guilty about it and I ended up lifting on my rest day yesterday.
I hate going to the gym on Mondays because it’s always the most crowded night but I was able to work my way in and get in a decent session! Whoo!
I hope you had a great week last week and this one is off to a positive start too!
Have you ever seen any crazy weather related things during your runs?
Have you played with the Pokemon app at all?
