Before we go any further, did you watch the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trailer yet?

When I first heard that Fantastic Beasts was being made into a movie I was really nervous. How could an encyclopedia be turned into a good movie? Well, obviously you just have JK Rowling write the screenplay. From the very first “Lumos Maxima” I had chills. Really looking forward to this movie coming out!
Now on to the important stuff. Since BDR Cape Coral wasn’t a race for me by any stretch of the imagination, I went for a nice and easy hour long run last night.
It was hot and it was humid, but the slight breeze off of the ocean was nice.
I stopped briefly to use the bathroom at Beach Place and noticed they put up a Christmas tree! I sort of keep forgetting that Christmas is right around the corner since the weather is so warm.
I looked through my running log from this time last year and the temps were much cooler. For instance, back in November 2014 when I ran the Michelob Ultra Fort Laud. Half the temp at the start was just 66 degrees. This year it was 80 degrees at the start. In December 2014 when I ran the Jingle Bell Jog it was also 66 degrees at the start, and of course you all know by now how hot it was this year at the Cape Coral Half.
In a cruel twist of fate, the meteorologists are predicting our first cold front to roll through this weekend. The temps are predicted to dip down into the 50s! That sure would have been nice last weekend for the race… but what can you do. As Ali said, the weather is out of our control.
In other news, I got filmed at work yesterday! I can safely say sitting in front of a camera that rotates with bright lights all around and people staring at you is very different than picking up a vlogging camera and just rolling with the punches. I know which one I like better!
Speaking of which I’m so behind on vlogmas… That was a commitment that I should not have made and am definitely going to have to break. There is just not enough time in the day to film, edit, blog, run, eat, sleep, play with Cecil… all of that important stuff! ;). Maybe when work ends next week I’ll have more time to edit (and also more time to do exciting things)!
Anyway, I’m going to sign off for now. We’re having our company holiday lunch today and I have to go prepare myself to eat delicious food! Talk to you soon!
Are you excited for Fantastic Beasts? Will you be going to see Star Wars this week/weekend?
– Adam got us Star Wars tickets for Thursday night. I’ll probably fall asleep in the theater! 😀
