Confirmation that I’m running faster + holiday traditions

Last night I did four miles at a moderate pace. I was supposed to do five but it didn’t happen and I’m not going to worry about it.

It was already 10:45pm when I got done with mile four and I still had a few things to do before bed so I wrapped it up early. NBD (no big deal).

What is moderate pace for me? It’s about a minute faster than my long run pace and about a minute slower than the pace I do my speedwork at.

When I entered the treadmill run from Tues. and yesterday into RunKeeper I was greeted with this:

Confirmation that I am running faster than ever!

After work and before I got to go running I had some errands to do including a stop at the pet store because Cecil was out of his dental treats. If you have a cat I highly encourage you to buy him/her dental treats because a teeth cleaning at the vet is about $300!

The pet store continues to give us these cute bags which he seems to really like:

Or maybe he just likes the food treats inside. It could be that.

Our condo lobby is decorated for the holidays now:

This is good since Adam and I have not had any time to decorate inside our condo this year. I may pull out the stockings at some point between now and Christmas but it seems unlikely.

This is the time of year that I think having a child really helps you get into the spirit. One of my friends is doing the Elf on a Shelf thing and it looks like so much fun!

So cute!

Hope you’re having a great Thursday morning!Β

Do you decorate for the holidays/have any fun holiday games/traditions?Β

Are you planning to do a Resolution Run on New Years?

Morning! Haven’t decorated yet – think we will decorate a tree outside sometime next week (there is a holly tree in a xmas tree shape ready to be adonred with sparkly shizzle out front in the garden – perfect!). Probably won’t bother with inside the flat though.

No resolution run planned, although on 2nd January I am running a marathon, does it count if it is a day late??

On Chistmas morning I will be running though, have this planned. It is tradition started by my dad and his friend years ago, which I like to carry on in memory of my dad.

Hope you had a great Thursday. It’s Friday here, wahey πŸ™‚

YES! Your marathon most definitely counts!!

The running tradition started by your dad is awesome. I can think of nothing better than getting some endorphins right before spending a fun day with friends/family!

I love that you got that confirmation!!! Like seriously, that’s amazing that the app you use does that.

I always assume Elf on the Shelf is for kids. I like that he’s a tradition you do πŸ™‚

Hahaha, Elf on a Shelf is definitely a tradition for kids. My friend is doing Elf on a Shelf for her kids (those are her pics)!

I use two different apps: runkeeper and Garmin connect (which syncs with my Garmin) and they are both great!
