I know Tuesdays are supposed to be my weekly training recap day but I had another super low mileage week last week. March has been possibly my worst running month ever. I am committed to ending the month with a bang and have made myself a promise that I won’t miss any of my planned runs this week!
I kicked off the week on a high note yesterday with a good strength training workout, a Jasyoga video and 30 burpees.
My best friend, Barbs, shared this article with me of a woman called Danielle who did 30 burpees every day for 15 days and saw awesome results.
Danielle writes, “my typical easy pace is about nine minutes per mile, but towards the end of the 15 days I started running faster without consciously ramping up my speed. My lungs felt clear and I coasted through the miles.”
Barbs and I are taking on the challenge!
Dr. Jordan D. Metzl says, “Burpees target every muscle in your body and train your cardiopulmonary fitness by repeatedly bring your heart rate up and down.”
Danielle wrote, “Because my muscles and heart were getting an added workout, running felt like a breeze.”
I’m ready for results like that :).
