Day in the Life + Scary Dream!

Hi there! Today I’m bringing you a new Day in the Life vlog. I filmed this last Friday πŸ™‚

I’m sorry that I don’t have a longer post for you today but last night I had to go to bed early. On Sunday night I woke up in the middle of the night after having the scariest dream EVER.

In my dream I witnessed the brutal murder of a little boy in his bedroom. The killer wrapped himself up in a cocoon made of the boy’s blankets and attached himself to the bed so he could be in the room when the boy’s parents discovered him.

I’ve never, ever had such a violent or scary dream like this before! I woke up with my heart pounding and it took meΒ over an hour to calm down and fall back asleep.

YIKES!

I have no idea why I had a dream like this. I Google’d it and the dream dictionary said I have hate and resentment living inside of me, but actually… I don’t! I’ve been pretty happy lately! Go figure!

When was the last time you had a scary dream?
Do you believe in dream interpretations?

Oh my gosh! Have you been watching scary movies lately?! Thats usually what will make me have crazy nightmares. Sometimes dream interpretations make sense, but other times I just think my brain makes up strange and random stuff while I sleep for no reason!

I haven’t been, I actively avoid scary movies! When I woke up my first thought was, “have I recently seen a movie trailer for something similar?” but I don’t think I have. When I told Adam he was like, “whoa, what’s wrong with you?” haha!

Yikes! That is quite the nightmare. Last night I had a kind of boring dream about work. I hate dreaming about work because then it feels like I never left.

Ugh, I know what you mean! I usually can’t remember my dreams at all. The last one I can remember from before this one involved Adam having powers to turn people into worms and then back into people. I must have some sort of weird thing for insects! haha

OMGoodness! I would hate to have a dream like that!! Have you watched or heard any scary things lately? I haven’t ever had a dream that was scary enough to wake me up. I have had some where I am so happy I have woken up…weird but true. Hope I never do…especially one like that. I would have a really hard time getting back to sleep if I could at all!

That’s so nice to have a dream that makes you so happy it wakes you up! Most of the time I can’t remember my dreams or they’re totally mundane.

I will watch your VLOG at lunch- can’t wait!

That is such a horrible, scary dream. πŸ™ I have had horrible dreams that actually ARE horrible, then I have ones that feel more horrible in the dream than they actually are. Like when you describe the dream to someone, it doesn’t sound bad, but that’s because I can’t properly convey the darkness that I actually felt when I was dreaming.

I dream a lot that my Grandpa is alive again, but just for a day. So in the dream I know my Grandpa is dead, but that he is back for just one day and that I better enjoy it. Those dreams are sort of sad and happy all at one time. But when I wake up, it makes me really miss my Grandpa, even though he has been gone for 13 years now.

My really bad dreams are when I dream one of the cats died. Ironically, last night I dreamed that Jelly died. It was so sad. Sometimes I also dream that I have to go back to college and leave Paul and the cats at home, and that is also a sad dream!

Man, now I am all teary eyed!

I just watched your video! Georgie totally looks like a slim version of Jelly! He is beautiful! I love your makeup. I wish I was good at applying makeup and picking the correct colors.

I always think of Jelly when I’m with Georgie, haha!

That’s so nice of you. I’m still learning how to do my makeup and pick the right colors! Eye makeup is the hardest for me since I don’t have a crease. I usually just go without it unless I’m going someplace special!

Awww that’s always sad to dream about people who have left us, but it’s nice to spend a little extra time with them in dream land.

Oh no, I haven’t ever dreamt about Cecil dying, but I have dreamt about him running away/getting lost which is literally my biggest fear in life. I usually wake up from those dreams and if Cecil’s not in the bed I have to go walk around the apartment to find him!

Creepy! I used to interpret dreams for friends all the time. If you believe in the symbolic value, English majors are made for this kind of thing. I’d interpret the dream to be more about anxiety, subconscious worry, or fear of the future than anger or rage…the hidden murderer speaks to me of a hidden fear or concern that maybe is in the past but sometimes still bubbles up. It could also be a reflection of grief – if you’ve been thinking lately about lost loved ones or sad events in your life, that can manifest in a dream in that way.

Anyway, it sounds awful and I hope you’ve shaken it off. Sometimes those dreams really stick with us.

Ah, your interpretation makes more sense. When I read that it was about hate or resentment I was confused because I don’t think I’m harboring any of those feelings towards anyone!
