Day in the Life Vlog #2 + Running at the Park!

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I filmed a new Day in the Life vlog!

(Note: at a couple points the audio cuts out for a second, I have no idea why! I’m new to this vlogging thing!!!!)

Yesterday was a fun day becauseย I got to take a little field trip to visit one of my clients to host a Twitter chat.ย The client is in the health & wellness industry and hosting Twitter chats with them is always a good time.

Afterwards I went homeย a little early which mean Iย got to run in the DAYLIGHT!

It’s been a while since I’ve run at the park, and yesterday I was reminded of why I used to run there all the time. It’s really nice being surrounded by families playing sports together and lots of other people walking, running, biking and just generally enjoying the outdoors!

I want to say I’m going to start running at the park more often, but let’s be real, there’s no place like my beach!

I’m looking forward to a nice long run (9-10 miles) on Sunday that ends with me parking my butt in the sand for a few minutes!

I hope you have a great weekend and a great long run (if you’ve gone one on the sched.)!

Did you play in Little League as a kid?
Any big weekend plans?!?!

That is so nice that you can end your runs on the beach! (and run along there in general!) Some of my favorite runs are along the beach at the jersey shore.

Awww my mom would love hearing that! She grew up in Jersey and loves the shore. I have fun memories of going to visit when I was younger!

Another vlog without footage from the beach, what is happening lol.

That is some great art and it absolutely needs to be placed on the fridge.

Clearly the audio cuts out because you are cursing… “I usually like mild but Adam bought the medium **** ***** ****” ….just kidddding of course :). I loved the Vlog! So fun!!!!

Have an awesome weekend!!! I’m going to see American Sniper which I am excited about!

Your vlog’s are cute. I like Cecil’s pics ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t it nice how getting out work early gives you a little boost! I had an ice day off this week, but truthfully I was just a grump, this no running thing is really sucking.

      Thank you!

The no running thing does suck, I totally felt that last week when I took 6 days off, but I can promise you’ll feel amazing coming back from the break!

You have the best running paths! That park is beautiful- it looks like something out of a painting! And of course, the beach is always an incredible place to run. I read somewhere one time that you burn more calories running on the sand than the pavement or grass, which is awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

I believe that because running on the sand is TOUOGHHHHH (which is why I hardly ever do it, hahah). On saturday mornings there are a few workout groups that do sprints and other stuff at the beach and I just watch them in awe, happy to be on my nice paved path next to the sand haha

I love these vblogs. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wonder if I would be allowed to download the cat painting app on my work iPad (because that is the iPad I have) I would looooooove to display my cat’s artwork and I think it is so cool that you do! Cecil is also so beautiful. ๐Ÿ™‚

Is that an engagement ring on your finger?

    1. Kristina @ Blog About Running

I think you would be allowed, I’m sure you could relate it to work somehow! I mean your job and painting are both related to the arts so there is definitely a connection there!

It is a wedding ring set. Just because Adam and I don’t have any plans to get married doesn’t mean I can’t have the bling! ๐Ÿ˜€ After 10 years I totally deserve it! haha

Actually, when we moved in together back in 2007 he gave me a diamond ring because my grandmother didn’t believe we should live together unless we were married so we were like “but look, we aren’t going to hell because we’re engaged!” and the smaller diamond band was just added on a bit later.

I had no idea there was an app for cat art – Cecil is very talented!!!
Fun that you got to do a twitter chat with a client!
I tend to run on an empty stomach always – I don’t know if I could do salsa & chips before running – I’m afraid I would be tasting salsa the entire run.

Thank you! I will tell Cecil you said that. I hope he doesn’t get a big head though!

Truthfully I only had about 3 or 4 chips! I like to just have a little something before a run, but I couldn’t do half a bag of chips. I’ll save that for Sunday when I’m watching football after my long run!

I need to get that ipad app for Zoey! She loves to paw at me when she is sitting next to me on the couch. I bet it would work for dogs, too (or there may be one already for dogs). David and I always fight about the mild v hot salsa; he prefers mild and I like hot. But we can never really seem to buy our own jars of it for some reason!

It would definitely work for dogs too. A little mouse runs around the screen to encourage the cat (or dog) to touch and every time a paw touches the screen a little paint is added.

  10. Ali @ Hit the Ground Running

Has it been nice and cool in Ft. Laud? It’s been in the high 60s even during the day here, so daylight runs are easier!

Yesterday afternoon it dipped into the 70s and today it’s finally dipped into the low 60s!

I’m looking forward to a couple of nice runs this weekend!

Beautiful! So jealous you can end your run at the beach. Do you dip your feet into the water too?

I don’t dip my feet in the water because I actually think ocean water is gross, haha. I just like looking at it, but I NEVER ever go in it!

I do dip my legs and feet in the pool when I get back home a lot of times though, that feels sooooooo good!
