Eating Disorder Recovery: Finding the Right Support

Why do I wear this blue shirt so much? That is the question of the week but also I already know the answer: it’s because it’s comfortable and I like the color. If I see that it’s clean it’s pretty much my first choice for an around-the-house shirt :).

Today I’ve got the next installment in my eating disorder recovery series. This one is on how I found support even though I don’t personally know anyone who has gone through what I’m going through. I think this is really important because it would be crazy expensive to talk to my therapist every day, so finding support outside of that has been incredibly helpful to me.

I don’t want to say that talking to people who haven’t had an eating disorder about what I’m going through is pointless but I will say I find it frustrating and generally unhelpful. Everyone has good intentions but not everyone can give the right advice.
