I have only included links to running items I consistently use on a daily basis and books that I love and have read more than one time. For example, I did NOT include a link to my Jurek Endure belt because I haven’t used it since 2013. I promise to keep this list up to date!

    Quick question –

I am gearing up to run my first marathon next weekend. I also use the flip belt and honey stinger chews. I also have been using some of the Powerbar energy blends which is basically pureed fruit in a pouch. When you ran your marathon, did you carry your chews in your flip belt? I tried packing it up today and thought it was kind of bulky. I considered switching to gels, but I don’t want to make a change so close to the race! For my long runs, I actually kept my fuel/water in my car and did laps around a local park, stopping at my car as needed, so I primarily used the belt for carrying my phone and not my chews. I’m sure I’m over-thinking it as the pre-race jitters set in! 😉

      Hey Molly,

I carried THREE packs of Honey Stinger chomps in my Flip Belt! It did feel bulky at first but I would say by mile 2 I didn’t even notice them at all. Three packs was definitely overkill but those pre race jitters got to me and I really thought I would need them all, haha.

I would bring the chews and not worry about it. Once you start running you will forget all about the bulkiness! 🙂
