Feet Fail Me Not, This May be the Only Opportunity That I Got!

Last night Adam convinced me to skip Light up the Beach and got me to go to the gym with him, so I spent some time with the treadmill (3 miles).

I honestly have no idea how I ran so many miles on that thing over the summer. When I run outdoors I don’t listen to music, but I HAVE to listen to music on the treadmill and it’s really stressful coming up with a good running playlist. I can’t take the pressure so I listen to the same song over and over.

Last night it was Lose Yourself by Eminem. Please don’t laugh but I like the line “feet fail me not, this may be the only opportunity that I got.”

“Feet fail me not…”

That’s a good line to listen to while running! : )

The one positive to treadmill running is that I can easily run negative splits which never happens when I run outside.

Today I have half a day of work that I will be completing from home and then we’ll be heading out on a very long drive to see my mom!

I am looking forward to dinner tonight because we will be ordering from my favorite Chinese restaurant. My best friend, Barbara, and I used to go there ALL the time in high school but now I only get it a couple times a year when I go home!

Here is Barbara:

And here is a fun fact about Barbara: up until we were like 17 years old she was able to get a child ticket at the movie theater because she looks so young!!

Someday when she is 80 and still looks 30 that will come in handy.

Do you have a favorite restaurant/place you go to when you go to your hometown?

What is your current #1 running song?

The lines actually referencing feet or legs are the best 🙂 I especially think you’ll like “One Foot”.

    “Run” by Kill It Kid
    “One Foot” by Fun.
“Hit Me Down Sonny” by The Ting Tings

Thank you for the song recommendations! I can’t wait to try these out on my next treadmill run 🙂

  2. Ali K. @ Hit the Ground Running

    Such a great running song!

I still get carded for R movies sometimes. I use my student ID from college frequently to get discounts, too. $10 for a ticket is ridiculous.

I definitely do the college ID thing too! The worst is IMAX movies … the prices are literally insane!

  3. Lou @ Running Through China

    Great song!

I too don’t listen to music when I run now (used to but my ipod died and I haven’t replaced it yet).

My husband just wished me luck/shared this song on my fb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj08jTHsLuY&list=PLCC80DFF78367E748

    Stevie Wonder’s Keep on Running.

    Cheers, Lou

Your hubby sounds awesome! 🙂 Is he also a runner?

I still live in my hometown, but it’s about an hour from DC, so I love going to Amsterdam Falafel when I’m up there:) They seriously have the best falafel and fries ever, especially when followed by a Georgetown Cupcake. I love Lose Yourself, but She’s so Mean by Matchbox 20 is my current favorite:) Have a great Thanksgiving!

This might sound a little crazy but I have NEVER had a falafel! I really need to change that!

I’ve heard so many awesome things about Georgetown Cupcake … that’s another thing I really need to try sometime soon! 🙂 Lucky you!!!

I love Eminem. Like, a lot. My running playlist has a lot of techno-ish music and the Pitch Perfect soundtrack.
