Remember when I used to blog five days a week? That seems like a dream now. Life has been consistently hectic with a lot of changes going on at work and my mom moving here. I really hope to get back on the five day a week schedule and even do a lot more videos over the next couple of weeks. I bought a new camera on Friday that should be great to take videos with – it should be arriving today or tomorrow!
Aside from online shopping on Friday I also snuck out at night with a girlfriend to go see Magic Mike XXL!
(You might think that I only own one top but I promise I just own a variety of tops in this color!!! I love it! But I guess I should branch out to other colors!)
I know that we shouldn’t objectify men…. but really this movie is much more of a comedy than anything else. As my girlfriend put it, “I laughed more than I ooooh’d.” I won’t go into details in case you’re not into that sort of thing, but Joe Manganiello was aces. Alcide fans you won’t be disappointed!
Saturday I curled my hair before we headed over to Adam’s parents place for a BBQ. All of the ladies loved my hair but Adam noted that he isn’t able to tell the difference. Typical! 🙂
After we were all properly stuffed (no pics because we scarfed the food down) we went out to watch fireworks!

The show lasted about thirty minutes and was pretty spectacular. I love watching a good fireworks show!
Last year we were in Vegas for the 4th of July and didn’t get to see any fireworks because there was a rare thunderstorm!
Sunday we slept in pretty late and then walked down to the beach to grab lunch. I thought it would be super busy all weekend but it wasn’t too bad.
It was CRAZY hot out though. I couldn’t believe how many people I saw out running! I mean, it was only about 2 people, but seriously? Wait until it’s cooler out!!!!
Don’t kill yourselves… says the girl who continues to run on the treadmill because she’s a wimp and this heat is just suffocating.
Hey, treadmill miles are still real miles!
Here’s my rundown from last week:
Monday: 4 miles
Tuesday: Cross training
Wednesday: 4 miles
Thursday: 5 miles
Saturday: 8 miles
Sunday: 8 miles
TOTAL: 25 miles
This week was the first time in a couple of months where I really felt like I could tackle a half marathon again. It wouldn’t be pretty, but I could definitely do it without it being a total suffer fest. Now it’s all about getting back to the point where I feel good about tackling a marathon again… and that’s what the next couple of months are all about! WOOT!
