Grocery Shopping Madness

Happy Monday! I didn’t have time yesterday to edit the vlog of my weekend with Barbs, but you can check out a teaser of it in yesterday’s post if you haven’t already read that!

Yesterday morning B was up and out of the house early for the tennis tournament finals in Key Biscayne, and then she came back to pack and say goodbye.

She didn’t win in the finals but it was still a really successful tournament for her with 3 consecutive wins and then 2 losses (against the same woman who has been playing for many more years than she has).

After B left I headed out for some solo grocery shopping. Usually Adam and I go together but he was feeling tired and just wanted to stay home.

Apparently I go a little overboard when I grocery shop alone. I have never spent this much in one trip to Publix in my life! I almost screamed when I saw the total.

To be fair a few non-edible items ended up falling into the cart like a candle, some beauty items and a new set of bamboo kitchen utensils.

Oh and I bought a (new) little personal cart too to make carrying all the grocery bags from the car to the kitchen easy. I mean how often do we all struggle to get every single bag in one go? WHY when a foldable cart like this costs less than $25!

Please ignore the plastic bags, I forgot to bring reusable ones with me. To be fair I probably don’t have enough reusable ones for all the things I bought yesterday lol.

I picked these mutigrain crackers up for the first time. Aside from being a little too salty for my liking they taste like heaven!

I also bought some ingredients to make my own salsa, broccoli and edamame dip and smoothies. I haven’t made anything in the food processor or blender in a long time and it’s time to get back to it!

More on that if the recipes I chose are worth sharing :).

Hope you have a great Monday, and that you’re feeling energized after the weekend. LMK in the comments how you’re feeling today!

What type of things do you like to make using the food processor? Any dip recipes to share?

What’s your current favorite thing to cook/whip up?

PS: I’ll be putting up new posts every day until Christmas at 4:30am eastern time. Sometimes my blog’s cache won’t show a new post unless you refresh your browser — or you could subscribe via Feedly or BlogLovin

I need a food processor (and an instant pot and a dehydrator). Maybe I should get them all 🙂

WOW! I have literally never spent more than $150, but I guess a good part of the rest is taken up by the cart which was $22.
