Gymtime + Runner Butter Giveaway!

Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend. My mom took Adam and I out to dinner to celebrate my birthday a few days early which was really nice. She also gave me an Ulta gift card which was extra nice :).

I also joined a local gym so I can use their cardio equipment and can take some classes. I’m looking forward to doing more than just walking for cardio until I can run again. Although long walks do seem to bring back some of the old aches I used to experience after medium-long runs.

I’ve noticed that my hips sometimes feel tight and also my feet will sometimes feel beat up. Part of that is probably because I need new running shoes. Actually I HAVE new running shoes but I refuse to wear them for walks. I’m not breaking them out until I am cleared to run again!

Recently Derek, the founder of Sport Venom, reached out to me and asked if I would like to try Runner Butter. Runner Butter is a balm that can be used to soften and condition over worked feet.

Basically, you know how we always say “I have runner’s feet” – this is to help make runner’s feet look and feel nice again! It contains nut butters and essential oils to soothe and soften the skin.

I said yes to reviewing the product because I love supporting entrepreneurs and I love trying new products!

Derek has kindly offered to give a free Runner Butter to a reader too. You can enter using the Rafflecopter widget below :).

Runner Butter is designed to:

  • Moisturize dry skin
  • Soothe sore feet
  • Heal bruised toenails

Runner Butter is GMO and paraben free. It’s also cruelty free and vegan (whoo)! It contains only nice ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, Vitamin E as well as some essential oils. You can see a full ingredient list here.

Derek is a triathlete himself so he understands what our feet go through first hand. He created this product for himself and others like him who love high impact sports.

You can show Derek some support for his athletic (and business) endeavors by giving him a follow on instagram @SportVenom!

Overall I really like the product. Obviously I haven’t been able to try it post-run yet since I’m sidelined for a while with my calf issues, but I can say it makes my feet feel nice after long walks.

You guys know I’m obsessed with skincare and makeup but I often neglect my feet. When I went to apply the Runner Butter I realized just how dry my heels were … omg, let’s just say VERY dry. Like the Sahara.

The Runner Butter is a little stiff in the jar so I massaged it between my fingers for a few seconds to warm it up and then massaged it into my heels, which immediately drank up the moisture. I ended up applying two coats that first time.

#1 Reason We All Need Runner Butter

To write this review I google’d “are there medical reasons to keep feet from getting dry.” The answer is YES! If our feet get too dry they will crack and may bleed and then become infected. I definitely don’t want that to happen so from now on I will keep them moisturized!

One thing I do have to say is to follow the directions and put on socks after applying the Runner Butter. I stupidly did not do this and as soon as I stood up to get out of my chair I went flying across our hardwood floors. Your feet will be slippery and well moisturized when you use the butter, just FYI :).

Overall Runner Butter does exactly what it says it will do and I give it two thumbs up!

How was your weekend? Get in any good runs/workouts?
Do you currently moisturize your feet (or do you neglect them like I do)?!

Disclosure: I received compensation for this review but Runner Butter honestly works like magic!

My feet definitely need this! I’ve been walking more and working out at a gym but I feel like any type of physical activity messes up my feet.

Nice post! I’ve never used Runner Butter but I think you’ve convinced me.

My workout was good – I was a bit too indulgent with my food choices, but I got in a couple of good gym workouts!

OMG! As soon as you said you didn’t put on socks, I knew you ended up falling! OUCH!! are you ok, did you get hurt? I was telling a lady at work to put on Vaseline on her heels to keep them from drying up, and she told me a similar story… she did it and went to walk, but fell down the steps because her heels were slippery! She didn’t get hurty badly, but it sounded scary!

I hope the biking is going well for you!

Luckily I did not get hurt! I just slide across the floor and hurt my ego a little bit as Adam watched the whole thing and had a good laugh (once he knew I wasn’t hurt)! 😀

Are you OK from your fall? I am happy you joined the gym! Bet that feels great to get some non impact cardio in!

Haha yes I am okay! Luckily I did not hurt anything except my ego after falling in front of Adam :).

I was hoping to go to spin tonight but I didn’t get home from work until 7pm and class is at 5:30, hah. Just missed it by a little bit 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to go on Wednesday!

It honestly will not disappoint! It has a peppermint-y smell which I guess not everyone loves (it reminds me of Christmas though haha) but the moisturizing properties are second to none!

Normally I like to save gift cards but I have a list of items that I have been wanting to try but haven’t because I have to pace myself with the spending 🙂 This will help with getting a few items on the list!

Yikes, feet. Funny story – when on vacation last week I saw a lady with a crazy pretty pedicure. She had perfect looking feet and her toenails were painted with a French manicure (didn’t even know people could do that on their toes!). I pointed her out to my husband and he said “not a runner!”. LOL! Indeed.
    Happy (early) birthday!!

This is such an awesome looking product! Would definitely be helpful for dry feet! I hate when I wear socks that aren’t high enough and it causes rubbing/blisters! This would be very nice for that too!

Ugh, you are right – I totally neglect my feet too except for every 6 weeks or so, I will get a pedicure, that’s because I can never clip my toenails straight, so it’s just easier to pay someone to do it for me!!

I think it’s funny that when I’m running one of the most comment thoughts I have is “I HATE running!” And yet, as soon as I’m done, I feel so good, and start looking forward to my next run.

The heals of my feet are dry and cracked, I’m not sure if it is from running but they seem to be worse after running.

I used to run quite a bit, but after back surgery and it being hard on my knees, it’s a bit too high impact for my body. For now I need to stick with walking, but this foot butter looks amazing!

    August 6, 2017 / 1:51 pm

Running is the quickest way I’ve found to firm up fast. Good shoes are super important!
