Happy New Year!

Can you believe it’s twenty SEVENTEEN? Holy cow!

I hope that you have exciting goals and dreams for this year all planned out… unless your resolution is to be more spontaneous, then I hope you have zero plans!

Yesterday I did a one miler to close out 2016. Adam’s had a sinus infection for the last few days and he’s passed it onto me, but I still wanted to get in one mile to keep the run streak alive. Plus, I think being in the fresh air helps me to feel better when I have a cold, at least temporarily!

After my run Adam and I spent the rest of the night at home like the party animals we are.

To be fair we were out late on Thursday night at a friend’s house warming party and on Friday night we were also out late at a wrestling show in Miami. I am not cut out for late nights anymore! When we get home both nights I was exhausted and sleptΒ in past 11am!

I’m looking forward to accomplishing new goals and having lots of fun this year, and I hope you are looking forward to the same!

Thank you for checking in with me here on this blog, Insta, snapchat or even *gasp* in real life in 2016. Let’s make 2017 our year!

Did you do anything wild and crazy for NYE?
What’s your favorite NYE memory?
– Mine is the first NYE Adam and I spent together when he kissed me at midnight to Kiss Me at Midnight by *NSYNC πŸ™‚Β

I don’t even try to stay up to midnight anymore! We went to dinner and were home by 7:30 and in bed before 10. Happy New Year!

Hahah that’s great! I am surprised I made it until midnight. I am hopped up on cold medicines and prone to falling asleep any time I sit down! πŸ˜€

      Happy New Year!

LOL you crack me up! I am sure that was Adam’s favorite NYE too, right??? Last night we went out for sushi with Randy and Michael. Then I came home and ate a Jelly Belly candy cane and went to bed at 11:30! HAPPY 2017!

Hahaha I am sure it was his favorite too πŸ™‚ We had only been seeing each other for about a month when that NYE came around, but I knew I was in love with him already! haha

You went to bed at 11:30! That’s so close! I thought about going to bed around 11 but stuck it out to watch the ball drop. Although I was hopped up on cold meds and honestly can’t even remember watching the ball come down this morning! :-O I do remember I was on the couch with Cecil on one side and Adam on the other side and that’s the memory that counts!

Nohiny crazy for us. We were at a friend’s house but came home in time to enjoy the NY ball drop. We actually made it to midnight in Az, kissed the kids, then quickly went to bed lol.

Best NYE was the first one I spent with Mrs Schlub. Only one that actually mattered πŸ™‚

Btw…which wrestling show did you guys go to? Did Adam watch the Rousey fight?

Awww I agree! Best NYE I spent was my first with Adam too!

We went to Smackdown here in Miami, I just tweeted you some pics πŸ™‚ We did watch the Rousey fight! Did you? I feel badly that Rhonda went out that quickly, but she’s still a legend!

Happy New Year, Kristina! And no, I can’t believe we’re closer to 2020 than 2010. May your year be full of happy running and homemaking!

Last night we went to a NYE party at a local brewery. It was fun. Last year we stayed home and did nothing and went to sleep at 10. It all depends on what we’re in the mood for!

I’m getting over the cold, so we ordered in (a steak haha) and watched a movie before the ball drop. We also watched Mariah Careys…memorable performance!

That is the best NYE story I have heard! I love it. I hope you guys start to feel better soon. I am like you, when I am sick and I go for a run or workout I do feel better even if it’s short term. I’ll take it. Wishing you much health, happiness and lots of great running miles in 2017!

Thanks Susan! The first 4 miles of tonight’s run I felt great … the last mile after my meds wore off it felt like I was dragging my lifeless body back to the car! haha

Sending those wishes right back at ya! πŸ˜€

Awww – your favorite New Year’s Eve memory is adorable (plus – I loved that song).

Strangely, my favorite New Year’s Eve memory involves having the worst stomach flu of my life (seriously, I’ve never had a flu like that). BUT, it was probably the moment I knew I was going to marry my fella. I was 18 and had made arrangements for a movie marathon date with pizza and sparkling cider in my parents’ basement. Just after my fella got there, I started throwing up every half hour like clockwork. I fully expected him to leave, but he stayed and held my hair and rubbed my back and put up with all of the grossness of being with a sick person just because he wanted me to feel better. That’s when I knew. Twelve years, two dogs, one baby, and some major life-changing events later: he’s still my favorite.
