Happy Thanksgiving Run Blog Community!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American readers!

Yesterday I got out of work early but ended up running a million errands and just barely squeezed in a short run. As usual, I can confirm that even a short run is better than no run :). The moon was big and bright which is always nice, but the wind was crazy once again.

When that sand whips up and hits you at 30mph it legit hurts! Or maybe I’m just a wimp? The wind was so crazy that sand was blown into the streets!

My first mile was run into the wind @ 14:15 but with the wind at my back during the second mile I easily clicked off an 11:58 mile. The wind really does make a big difference!

I’m definitely not getting in the mileage I should be for the first week of training, but I’m giving myself some leniency since it’s a holiday week and my schedule is a bit different than normal. As long as I get in a solid double digit run this weekend I will be very happy with week #1!

Today Adam, my mom and I are heading over to Adam’s parents for Thanksgiving dinner and FOOTBALL!

I actually need to go blow dry my hair right now because we’re leaving in 13 minutes!

I hope you have a great day and enjoy lots of delicious food if you’re celebrating!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I am thankful for this awesome run blog community! xoxoxoxoxox

Happy Thanksgiving, Kristina! We are one day closer to Vlogmas… 🙂

The moon was gorgeous yesterday. It was huge and bright right over my house on yesterday’s morning run. I wished I had a camera to take a pic and share with everyone. I wanted Paul to see it too. Well, he got to see it later that night on our way to my parent’s house. It was huge because it hadn’t totally rose yet, and it was slightly orange. I am glad others took in the beauty of it!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! It was a relaxing day at our house. Now, time to get decorated for Christmas around here! That is just crazy about the sand being in the street. I can imagine how painful it is when the sand hits against you – or gets in your eyes!! ugh! Probably some to dig out of your hair too? I see lots of issues with blowing sand 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving, Kristina! I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets really excited about football on Thanksgiving. 😉 If you wanted a really easy run in the wind, you could do a point to point making sure that you have a tailwind the entire time. Or, you could do some torture training and do the opposite – headwind the entire run.
