Now on to running stuff :).
Yesterday’s run was honestly pretty brutal. I was thirsty, hungry and everything felt tight all at the same time! Plus it was pretty warm out.
I have been working with a registered dietitian for a little bit now. I am learning a lot about nutrition, and I’m also learning to eat more intuitively. As someone who has had a pretty f’d up relationship with food over the course of my entire life this is a process. Some days I feel like I’ve got it and other days … not so much.
One issue I seem to have day after day is that I rarely have an afternoon snack. I get caught up in work and time flies by. This means once my day slows down, I’m varying degrees of hungry when it comes time for my run.
I was telling Heather yesterday how I keep an “emergency Gu” in my glovebox. The problem is that a hot, sticky, disgusting Gu is rarely what I want to eat. I need to work in a better afternoon snack so I can stop killing my “I’m so good at intuitive eating” buzz. I’m positive being hungry (and tired) yesterday led to my crappy run.
As much as I was not into the run I was happy that I did it when it was done :). Isn’t that always the way it goes!
I have to tell you during the winter I get pretty bad about putting on sunscreen because I’m often doing most of my run in the dark. I looooooooove the scent of sunscreen though and I love smelling it on myself during a run. It smells like SUMMER!
Speaking of summer I have noticed that beige nail polish seems to be really in. I bought a bottle over the weekend. I was really excited to join the trend… but IDK guys. I don’t think it works for my skin tone. What do you think?
Putting my bad paint job aside, the color is still not working right? As Adam put it “it looks like you don’t have nails.” I’m trying to convince myself that this works but I don’t think it does…
What I am hoping REALLY works for me is the London Marathon lottery! I submitted my ballot on Monday and have my fingers crossed.
If I don’t get in then I am thinking about signing up for the Paris Marathon. I really, really want to get into London though so all my fingers will be crossed until the lottery results come out in October!
And on a totally random note I found this shirt yesterday and really want to buy it.
If it was acceptable to wear a tank top to work you better believe I would have ordered it already :).
