There’s nothing better than getting to come home from work a little bit early. Yesterday I had a work meeting at 2pm near my house that didn’t get out until 4pm, so I got to go home afterwards!! : )
I did a 3.5 mile run and it was BEAUTIFUL! There was a strong breeze along the water but I felt like a superhero slicing through the air! And guess what I saw? A banner for my half! It’s really almost here!
Also as I was cruising along the beach a big TV at one of the outdoor restaurants was showing the Miami Heat pre-game show featuring the 2013 ring ceremony.
Last year Adam and I went to opening night to see the ring ceremony, I kind of feel like a bad fan for not going this year but we’ve had such a busy last few days.
Anyway, I felt really good tonight and I’m already looking forward to my 5 mile run tomorrow!
Do you think it’s the sign of a problem when you immediately look forward to your next run before you even take your shoes off from your previous run???
It’s also really weird to look at my running schedule and see that tomorrow’s 5 miles is my longest run this week. I wish it was at least 6 or 7 miles : ) My mid-week run is usually 6 miles so this is definitely a sign of the taper.
I am excited to be experiencing a new runner thing – even if it is one that most people dislike!
