I May Be Losing My Mind!
I spent lots of quality time with the treadmill this weekend. Seven miles on Saturday and seven miles on Sunday put me at 31 miles for the week. My first 30+ mile week in a very long time!
After I got home from the gym on Sunday I announced to Adam that I ran “dub sevs” this weekend. You know, double sevens. He was like “WTF please tell me that’s not a thing runners say?” Nope, just me :).
To be honest, Saturday was a real struggle for me. I just wasn’t into the run at all and every mile felt like it took an hour to get through. I was worried that the increase in mileage was causing me to be mentally and/or physically fatigued and that Sunday’s miles would be extra hard. It turns out that Saturday was just a fluke though and my Sunday miles felt fine!
It never fails to surprise me how mental running is. If your mind isn’t right, your body will fight you the whole way, but when you’re mentally ON running can make you feel on top of the world!
In non running news, I may be losing my mind! ? Here’s a conversation that took place between Adam and I yesterday:
Adam: I saw a min pin today.
Me: When did you get a Pinterest account?
I thought that Adam saw pins of my favorite person, Mindy Kaling. As it turns out what he actually saw was a miniature pinscher, one of his favorite types of dog. THIS is what happens when you’re a little bit too excited that The Mindy Project is finally releasing new episodes TOMORROW! I’m so excited I can hardly breathe. Or think straight.

True story: after I published ^ that pic to my Snapchat story I imagined the person I was speaking to replying with, “I don’t know, can you?” I’m sure I post a lot of grammatically incorrect things on this blog every day but to make such an egregious error is so annoying.
I once had a nightmare that Ali printed out one of my blog posts, took a red pen to it and then mailed the corrections to me! ??
On that note, I’m going to sign off before I can make any more errors!
