Guess what today is? The last Monday before Adam and I leave on vacation! WHOO! This time next week I’ll be in a bathing suit sipping a piña colada* without a worry in the world!
* If you’re reading this at 6am then I probably won’t be sipping a piña colada this time next week ;).
The countdown until vacation is on, but let’s rewind back to the beginning of last weekend for a little bit. Adam and I had tickets to the Miami Dolphins scrimmage on Friday night at FIU Stadium which was so much fun!
As season ticket holders we got to sit in the front row which was pretty awesome, AND I got to wear my new top!
I’m so happy that football is back! Our defensive line looks ridiculously good. If our offensive line can hold its own, we can be really good this year. Of course, every year I think the Dolphins are going to be really good and then we fall apart right at the end … but not this year! It’s our year, I can feel it!
(Sorry Cheryl, but the Dolphins are taking the division this year! Your pats will have to support us in the playoffs this time around!)
Other than football related activities I went over to my mom’s place and helped her put together some furniture on Saturday. Her kitty, Georgie, has definitely settled in and is feeling at home:

After my run yesterday this little boy cuddled up with me on the couch and we didn’t move for … hours. My legs, feet, hips and butt are all feeling the effects of being deep in marathon training. Despite all of that I am deliriously happy to be inching closer to Chicago!
I can hardly believe that I am going to run marathon number TWO. It really wasn’t that long ago that I could barely run one mile and now I’m taking on 26.2 again. That’s so freakin cool!
I had a good week of running although my right knee is still bothering me after I run. I can also now feel a knot in my right glute, so my coach has advised me to get a sports massage this week. The great news is that nothing hurts during the actual run so I think what I’m experiencing is just some tightness in a few different areas of my body.
