I’ll Be Sharing Lots of Post-Run Smoothie Recipes Very Soon!
Good morning! No running for me today because I am an old woman and threw my back out yesterday. Okay, I just pulled a muscle. It’s mostly better today but I’m still taking a rest day, drinking coffee and writing.
When I hurt my back I was literally just trying to zipper up my suitcase since we were leaving to visit my mom. I may have been struggling with the zipper because I was trying to stuff way too much into it and … yeah.. the zipper/suitcase won.
Before the back incident I ran 4 miles yesterday … on the treadmill. It was a very boring, uneventful run except for the nausea. I had decided it was a good idea to eat Chipotle before the run. Turns out that’s not a good idea. I powered through though because I am a champ or something like that : )
Today we’re up at my moms hanging with her and my grandpa. My mom wrapped our Christmas gifts in the cutest wrapping paper!
Oh yeah, we’re also hanging with Georgie (aka Curious George) too.
I’m pretty excited because my mom got us this awesome blender that can make pretty much anything: smoothies, juices, nut butters, soup, hummus, etc!
Expect to read lots of smoothie recipes in the near future as I begin experimenting.
Tomorrow is long run day! I’ll get to do it on the pretty trail up here at my mom’s which is always exciting. Also, the weather is about 20 degrees cooler up here which will be really, really nice.
I just have to cross my fingers that my back is feeling 100% tomorrow. I think it will be since it is feeling about 95% today!
