Hey guys! I just wanted to quickly sign on and say hello and that I’m still alive but barely :). I knew this week would be tough because we’ve got a million projects at work all coming to a head at once. It’s been just as tough as I expected.
No Work-Life Balance
Monday I worked until 8pm. Tuesday and Wednesday I worked until 9:30pm and tonight I’m just wrapping up now at just about 8pm. I haven’t left the house this week at all, which is one of the downsides to working from home I suppose.
I would never complain about working from home because I mostly love it, but I get a little punchy sometimes when I don’t get out. Normally I would at least get out to run, but I haven’t run at all this week because I’ve been working such long hours. I miss it and will do EVERYTHING within my power to go running the new few days!
Thank goodness the weekend is in sight.
“Non-Drowsy” is a Lie
On top of work being crazy I also caught a freaking cold. A few people at Adam’s office have been sick which caused him to get sick, and when B visited last weekend she also had a small cold. You know, Dayquil is supposedly non-drowsy but I have been chasing it with coffee because man, it MAKES ME TIRED but I have no time to sleep it off!
It’s November?
Because the last three weeks of work have been so crazy October pretty much flew by. I decorated for Halloween so long ago and was really looking forward to watching Hocus Pocus and enjoying some candy on actual Halloween. Instead when I finished work at 9:30pm, I ate a cold turkey burger, took some medicine and went to sleep.
I missed Halloween and that SUCKS for sure, but hey next up I get to decorate for Christmas! And Christmas means vacation! And vacation means Vegas! Is it December yet?
Also, when is too early to put up a Christmas tree?
In case you were wondering, yes I am your friend that is thinking about putting one up this weekend.
I’m glad you’re alive and sorry work is so crazy! Is it going to die down soon?
I’m the grinch who doesn’t want Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving, so our Halloween decorations will be enjoyed until then! I do like working at home – well, having more flexibility and not going to the office – but I’m not the best at actually *working* at home! It’s hard to sit in front of my computer and get things done when I have so many things I want to do around the house. It’s a challenge!! Hope you are feeling better soon – and things are slowing down for you.
