It’s FRIDAY! :)

Thank you for the helpful comments on first time home buying! Adam and I are going to see a few properties on Saturday :).

Last night’s run was pretty great. It was brutally hot but I had no calf issues at all. I just don’t understand it since I do the same stretches every single day, I hydrate all the time… my routine hardly ever changes. Strange!

^ Grateful for a run with happy calves!

I have to tell you the beach is an amazing place to catch Pokémon! 🙂

I am mastering the art of catching Pokies without breaking stride. This really only works on low CP Pokies and you still have to slow down to aim, but during an easy run it’s all good!

I also caught a bunch of little guys during my cool down walk!

I’ve been pretty committed to doing proper cool down walks this marathon training cycle and they have done me so much good. I love having a few minutes to just slow everything down. I used to run straight to my car, jump in and stress about still having to make/eat dinner, shower, spend time with Adam and make sure Cecil gets playtime/exercise. Now I take a few minutes to chill out.

My walks are only maybe five minutes long, but that’s just enough time for me to feel like I’m getting off the treadmill of life! It sounds corny but it really works for me.

^ Look at these cuties!

Every Poké Stop along the beach seems to have a lure attached 24/7. It’s a goldmine!

If you’re playing Pokémon too I hope you level up big time this weekend!

Any exciting plans for the weekend?!
Fellow Poké players, which team are you on?
I’m Team Mystic.

WE just moved to Co after years of living in FL and oh baby I do not miss that heat!!! I used to get calf cramps and it was from needing electrolytes! I started taking Salt Stick before runs and that helped. Good luck house hunting!

Thanks Amanda! 🙂 I can’t wait to start looking tomorrow!

I actually hope the calf issues is from lack of electrolytes because that’s an easy fix, but I’m worried it’s not because I don’t get calf cramps just tightness!

We are going camping with some friends north of Chicago. It should be pretty fun, except we have major heat advisories going on right now (although, this morning I was wondering if our heat advisory temps are comparable to your normal Florida temps ha), so it may be a little toasty.

I’m team Valor, but that was really a random pick because I didn’t watch the show or know what team anyone was on…just made a gut decision on the spot. 🙂

Have fun in Chicago!!! Can’t wait to hear all about the trip.

My team pick was random too – but I did think Mystic sounded like Ravenclaw in HP, haha.

Awesome glad your calves felt good! My knee is the same- I do the same things all the time yet sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn’t.

Isn’t it so annoying? I wish we could pinpoint what causes the issues so we could actually address them! :/

Hooray for happy calves! I’m currently nursing a bit of a recurring hip issue and now have some minor shin splintage too (not sure if it came from walking around after my long run yesterday or if it came from the part of the long run on brick …). I’m spending the weekend trying to find places with air conditioning during the hottest parts of the day.

    Have fun house hunting!!

I have been playing pokemon a bit when I go walking but when I’m running I have to try pretty hard to keep going. I watched the first two episodes of the pokemon show on netflix. It was cool learning the back story since I didn’t really play it when I was a kid.
