Guess what came in the mail yesterday?! My TEAM PAWS racing singlet!
I need to think of a creative way to add Cecil’s name into the blank spot up there ^ so that it won’t come off in the wash… if you have any ideas please let me know!
Speaking of Team PAWS, for all of you who requested a medal from the Team PAWS Virtual 5K/10K I promise they are coming. The company I ordered them from failed to tell me the style I picked was on back order prior to placing the order. I really hope the medals get to me this week and I can ship them off to all of you asap! I’m soooo grateful for all of your help and sorry about the delay!!!
I didn’t run yesterday, but I did get in another 30 minute easy run on Tuesday.
I’m planning to run again today and tomorrow provided my hips continue to feel good. I’ll take Friday off and then I hope to run 60 minutes easy on Saturday.
Last week my fellow marketer, Jess at Fairweather Runner, tagged me to share my running favorites.
Favorite Running Place
Fort Lauderdale beach! This is my normal route and I feel so comfortable and at home running here.
Time of Day
I love running at sunrise because it’s beautiful to watch …but I hate getting up early.
Ideal Weather
55 degrees and SUNNY! The sunny part is a must otherwise I am freezing!
Fuel
Honey Stinger chomps in Cherry Blossom and Orange Blossom.
Rewards
I love rewarding myself with a nice nap after an early morning long run! Ahhhh, so nice!
I’m tagging Maddie, Meg and Cheryl to share their running favorites in a post soon!
What’s your favorite reward for a nice and long or hard and speedy run?
Cool singlet! It makes it more “real” doesn’t it?
Thanks for tagging me–I will post my favs soon!
Ahhh so exciting about your official Team PAWs shirt! I bet Michael’s has some bomb permanent mark type thingys to write with? Arts and crafts were never really my strong point :).
Author
Me either! Thanks for the idea to go hunting in Michael’s though! I will need to do that!
Ah, that must be so exciting! Totally makes it “real!” I’ve never used them, but I KNOW they make some sort of permanent markers for fabric that should work.
Author
If I am going to take running outfit / costume advice from anyone it’s definitely going to be YOU! I will have to hunt down some permanent fabric markers and test them out on a throwaway shirt!
Yay for getting your racing singlet! I don’t think a Sharpie marker would come off in the wash?
Author
Really? I was imaging it fading and or running off a bit. Maybe it would work – I need to test it out on a throwaway shirt!
Thanks for tagging me! My favorite reward after a long run is eating whatever I CRAVE. This past Sat. after my trail run I wanted Lucky Charms so that’s what I had! (Actually it was generic- Magical Marshmallows- but same difference.)
Yay for your race singlet! I’d probably just use a sharpie, but I think that would start to fade after awhile. You could try puffy paint. I thought they quit making that stuff in the early 90’s but it’s apparently still (or back) around because I’ve noticed that my students use it on their shirts.
I’m totally envious of those gorgeous beach shots from your runs. You live in an amazing place!
Author
Ohhh you know, you’re SO RIGHT after the puffy paint! I have a pair of shorts that I used puffy paint on for an event and they lasted through tons of washes before the paint started peeling off! TY!
I’d probably just use a sharpie and draw a couple of paw prints next to Cecil’s name. Or draw little cat ears on the top of the C.
My favorite reward for a hard run is an ice cold beer and maybe a nap. Or both.
Author
Ahhh little cat ears on top of the C! I love that idea!!!! Thank you!
Love the singlet!! You are too cute. As always I am soooooooooooooo envious of your beach running. You really are a lucky girl! My favorite reward is usually a really unhealthy meal followed by a nap 🙂
Thanks so much for the tag.. I actually posted mine a few weeks back! Here is the link:

Hehe, you and I both said naps are our favorite reward!! I love a good nap post-run!
Those singlets are so cute! I bet you’re starting to get super excited! I love that you get freezing in 55 degrees 🙂
Author
55 is definitely freezing if you’re in the shade! I remember my fingers going numb towards the end of a 10miler this past winter LOL!
I love that sunrise picture!!! One day that will be my daily view:)
Very cool singlet!!!!
Love your singlet! Exciting, starting to feel more real that rraining for your second full is coming up!
Ahh, the beach looks so beautiful. I’m with you – I love running at sunrise but I hate getting up early. Thanks for playing along with the favorites 🙂
I like the pictures from the beach, we are planning to visit San Diego this year so I will have to do my “blog about running” imitation and take some beach pics lol.
I have two rewArds, if I’m up super early a nice nap is always fantastic. After a late run or race, a nice cold beer is amazing.
Author
Ohhh I love San Diego! Yes, definitely take lots of pics!!!
Supercute singlet!! Getting so excited for you and looking forward to next week. Thanks for introducing me to Honey Stingers last year, they are currently in my fuel rotation (shot bloks).
Author
I’m so glad you like them – they have been the only things that have really worked for me. I tried Shot Bloks but they are so big!
What about puffy paint? seems funner than a sharpie 🙂
Author
Yes! I think you are spot on about the puffy paint, I am 99.9% sure I am going to go with that now that you mention it! 🙂
What a cute top ;D Permanent sharpie or sow it on 🙂 Or make a “iron on patch” with cecil’s face and iron it on hah 😀
Author
I wish I was as creative as you and could make an iron on match with Cecil’s face! I wouldn’t even know where to start!
Awww Cecil is so cute!!
Love the racing top, looks great on you 😉
I just smile when you say 55 is cold lol every time:)
