Lauren OTQ’d!

Back in 2014 I worked with an awesome running coach named Lauren Floris. She helped me achieve every single PR I have to my name today, and I loved every minute of working with her.

At the time she was training to run a sub-3 marathon … well over the weekend at CIM she ran a new personal best of 2:44 and OTQ’d!

I think Lauren’s finish line picture is the best running picture I’ve ever seen in my life. You have to see the large version of the pic and read her race recap HERE. I literally cried from the first word down to the last. Lauren OTQ’d!!!!! ??

Aside from being perpetually happy for Lauren, I spent lunch time yesterday at a cute little place in Midtown Miami called Carrot Express. They have really good smoothies and a ton of healthy, vegan options on the menu. I definitely want to take Barbs there when she visits next time.

I still haven’t made that smoothie I wrote about yesterday at home yet. I’m nervous it’s not going to come out as good as the ones you can buy haha.

When I got home from work yesterday Cecil was acting weird. Normally he runs to greet me at the door and then runs to the treat drawer because he knows if he’s been a good boy he’s going to get a treat. (In case you’re working 10/10 times he’s a good boy and gets a treat).

Turns out he had an upset stomach and just wanted to sleep it off. He seems to be back to normal now :). Yesterday the hashtag #WriteAHappyStoryIn4Words was trending on Twitter so I made a Cecil contribution.

Look at that little peanut :).

I wish I was telling you today about how the spin bike came and Adam set it up, but unfortunately delivery got delayed. It’s apparently being held up in Jacksonville. I’m hopeful that it will get delivered today but the tracking hasn’t been updated since early yesterday morning.

Fingers crossed for a delivery today!

What are you hoping for today?
What’s your happy 4 word story?!

Wow so freaking awesome for Lauren!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an inspiration. It is so motivating to see someone achieve their goal. I had no idea what OTQ’d meant, I had to think about it *really* hard lol. I am glad Cecil is feeling better! Chrissy had a hairball he was trying to get out for like a week. I found it in the basement Tuesday morning. It was BIG.

I LOVE your 4 word story, hehe! My 4 word story: It’s Almost The Weekend. LOL! My life in a nutshell.

CONGRATS to Lauren! That’s SO awesome! I can’t imagine how she must have felt. I heard that a whopping 87 people OTQ’d at CIM on Sunday – wow!

Oh wow, so exciting for Lauren!! She is so talented. Congrats to her! We had a local runner who placed 4th in the females at CIM and OTQ’d also. A 5:48 pace. I can’t even imagine. I know I have never seen a 5: in front of any of my paces – probably not even a 100 yard dash!
