Yesterday I started my morning off the right way, with a nice strong coffee in my favorite mug:

This is a perfect description of my life. You don’t want to know how many pics of Cecil sleeping I have… but honestly, how could I resist?
I bought a new pack of makeup removing wipes for my gym bag the other day and they smell like heaven … or like a bunch of fresh coconuts :).
I was planning on using my new wipes to remove my makeup so I could run after work, but got a sudden urge to do leg day instead. I know my days of being able to go hard on leg day are limited with Miami marathon training right around the corner, so I am making the most of this in-between time!
- Dumbbell Squat: warmup + 3 x 10 @ 100lbs
- Lunges: 3 x 15 @ bodyweight, each side
- Leg Press: warmup + 3 x 10 @ 240lbs + 1 x 20 @ 265lbs (<< I know 20 is a lot of reps, but the challenge popped into my head and I couldn’t resist trying)
- Wall Sit: 5 x 1 minute
- Planks: 5 x 30 seconds (while waiting for the rack to become empty… it never did)
If you want to be able to give your boyfriend/husband/partner a piggy back ride, this is the workout that you need to do! I can carry Adam halfway across the living room! I bet I could carry him all the way across, but usually after a few steps he starts yelling “okay, let me down, let me down, LET ME DOWN!” hahaha
… You can’t tell from this picture but my legs were trembling after that workout!
It’s funny but I actually think wall sits are the hardest of all the leg exercises! I mean it’s just sitting, logically it just shouldn’t be that hard! 😀
I’m definitely going to be sore tomorrow! Actually, scratch that, I’m going to be sore on Friday. It’s always the second day that gets me!
