A Saturday post? It’s true!
I’m sorry I have been absent from blogging the last few days but I have been feeling under the weather. I actually skipped my run on Thursday 🙁 It’s the first time I’ve skipped a run since I started the Hanson’s Base Builder. I would feel guilty about it except I know taking a rest day was the right thing to do because I’m feeling better now!
I took my camera around with me yesterday and thought I’d run through my day with a sentence per picture!
Started the morning bright and early!
My car really needs a wash!
I desperately need to do something with my hair, it’s getting unhealthy!
Got to work and tap tap tapped away!
For lunch I decided to ditch my leftovers and go out since it was such a beautiful day!
I watched some YouTube videos and powdered my nose before returning back to the office!
I like to have a video playing in the background while I work, and yesterday I started Season 5 of New Girl!
After work I made the fun drive from Miami home to my beloved Fort Lauderdale.
When I got home I had a package waiting for me from Physiclo, the makers of compression tights with resistance built in.
Frank, the founder of Physiclo kindly made a donation to my Team PAWS fundraising page for the Chicago marathon, and in exchange I said I would try out his product and write a review.
I am looking forward to trying out the capris and sharing more soon!
Adam ordered a pizza for dinner but the delivery time was 2 hours, so I made myself a big ol’ tropical smoothie as an appetizer!
Ingredients include: banana, orange slices, frozen pineapple, frozen peaches and a cup of milk!
I ended the night watching more YouTube videos and a couple episodes of Mr. Robot with Adam.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Adam and I are going to the Miami Heat game on Sunday….. CANNOT WAIT. We’re back in the playoffs baby! The eastern conference better watch out!? ?
PS: If you haven’t already, you can check out my latest video here!
What are you up to this weekend?
Who are you most excited to track at Boston?
Favorite smoothie ingredients?
I’ve been hearing about Mr. Robot, but have no idea what it is about. Do you like it? I’m always looking for new shoes. 🙂 Can’t wait to watch Boston on Monday. I have a couple friends from Oregon doing it – one of whom just had a baby six months ago. I can’t wait to see how she does.
That’s nice you are able to watch videos while at work. It sounds like your workplace is very relaxed! Favorite smoothie –> chocolate with banana, almond milk, and a scoop of Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter 🙂

Adam and I both really like Mr. Robot so far. I think you saw my snaps on Saturday about the show (they were for you, haha)! If not, it’s about an anti-social computer programmer who works as a cybersecurity engineer by day and is a vigilante hacker by night. I think you would really like it! As a software engineer himself Adam says the tech lingo is cringe worthy, but other than that the show is very good!
Obviously I am super excited to track Heather and Allison and my cousin Alex! I gotta get on that. I hope I can track them from my dumb phone.
You know, I used to be able to work and study with the tv on in the background. All through college I would have Court TV or the news on while I worked but now I can’t. I need complete silence! It is a shame.

That is a shame! I’m the exact opposite. I used to need complete silence but now I love to have background noise wile I work! The only frustrating part is when I have to re-watch the same thing 20 times because I’m not paying attention enough!
I’m glad you only felt under the weather for a day. One of the things that I dislike most about teaching is that there’s no flexibility in my schedule. I can’t check personal email or watch videos while I work, and I definitely don’t have time to go out for lunch! An office job sounds mighty appealing because of those perks!

It’s a tradeoff! I have a much more flexible daily schedule but I don’t get the summers off, ahaha!
Good that you feel better now! It’d great when you pick up running again. I hope you can reach the 50 miler goal. How close do you think you are?

Thanks Mike! Pretty far off if I’m honest. I initially thought I would go straight from the marathon to the 50K and then the 50-miler, but as I’ve gotten deeper into my running journey I’ve realized I want to accomplish more with the marathon before I go for an ultra! I do hope to run a 50K next year and re-evaluate after that!
I can relate to the unhealthy hair thing.. I need to rejuvenate my hair..
Oh that smoothie looks great! Speaking of hair…I’ve spent the past 1.5 years growing out my bangs….now that they are the length I wanted <–yes past tense…I want my bangs back now haha.
