Let’s Chat: Current Favorites!

Hey there! Happy Friday! As we head into the weekend I thought I would post a new video where we can chat about our current favorite beauty products. As much as I love running, I equally love a good body scrub, moisturizer and lipstick.

In this video I talk about my five current favorites from moisturizers to hair care and more. You can also get a good look at my new hair. I’d love to know what you think of the color. It’s starting to grow on me … although I still plan to lighten it up a bit.

(Nothing in the video is sponsored, I bought everything with my own money.)

If you didn’t see my running Q&A with Adam from the other day take a peek and let me know what you think!

Hope you have a great weekend and are able to get in a couple of good runs 🙂 .

PS: If you have any beauty recommendations for me please let me know in the comments below. I plan to make a trip to Ulta this weekend and would love your suggestions (especially for a good highlight/contour kit)!

I’m gonna have to try that white sands scrub. I need a good one, since it’s so dry out here. Also, I love your hair! I think the color looks really cute on you. 🙂

  3. Megan @ Meg Go Run

When I watch your beauty vlogs it reminds me that I know nothing about makeup. 🙁 I didn’t know what primer was until today. Maybe I need that? I feel like my makeup looks okay when I leave the house- foundation, powder, a blush and lip color I love, eyeliner on top eyelid only, and mascara. But by lunch time I look pale (where did the blush go!?) and my lipstick is completely gone. I wish I knew how to do eye shadow. I used to wear like light greyish but then suddenly that color started to make me look really old and haggard.

If your makeup is disappearing for lunch, primer will probably help! I used to have that problem too until I started using it!

I wish I knew how to do my eyeshadow better. Having a monolid I’m really self conscious when I do it because I don’t have a crease to guide me. I tend to stick with really neutral tones (browns and golds) when I do it because they feel like they’re less difficult to mess up!

Well you always look great in your vlogs so whatever you do it WORKING for you. 🙂

  4. Susan

It Cosmetics has the vitality disk which has a bronzer, blush and highlight. I LOVE IT. You might want to check it out. Very nice and easy to travel with, too!

Thanks Susan! I knew you would have a good recommendation, I should have just emailed you! 🙂

  5. Ali @ Hit the Ground Running

I love that lipstick, too! My favorite drugstore lipstick is the Revlon, though. They have this lip butter that is just so natural and soft, and I can use it instead of chapstick. Their matte balm is amazing for weddings and stuff too.

I went to Sephora today and was kind of laughing because even though my mom was buying, I didn’t want much! I get everything at the drugstore!

Yes! I know what you’re talking about. I have one of Revlon’s lip butters and it’s my second favorite right now. It’s so creamy and soft!

I think drugstore products are just as good as the expensive products in most cases. Especially when an expensive product is made by the same parent company as a drugstore brand. I do like that Sephora and Ulta sometimes have more color options and … and I like that they always put testers out too!
