Let’s Party, It’s Friday!

Happy Friday! How’s it going?

Yesterday was another soggy day here in South Florida making my commute home from Miami a total joy.

To all my fellow commuters out there, I know you feel my pain when you see that it’s raining when you leave the office. People just get so paranoid and have to drive 2 miles per hour. Rawr!

I de-stressed from the drive by running another five easy miles in a light drizzle.

It was actually pretty refreshing. Maybe I’m actually coming around on this whole running in the rain thing!

Georgie loves sitting by the window and watching it come down.

He and Cecil are finally started to get along :). They are both sleeping through the night (and more importantly letting me sleep through the night)!

I think I’ve mentioned this the last couple of summers, but every year around this time I read the entire Harry Potter series. It’s something I’ve been doing since I was in high school (when the series wasn’t even complete yet) and I’ve kept it up through the years.

A couple of weeks ago I started Sorcerer’s Stone for the millionth time. I’m only reading a chapter or two a night before falling asleep because I’ve been really tired but that’s okay. I’m not in any rush to power through my favorite books.

I love how I STILL always find hidden easter eggs here and there. JK Rowling is a genius.

Ohhhh and guess what? I finally changed my home lock screen. It had been the same for a while (an awesome pic I took of Finn Bálor) but now it’s this great quote:

That is the secret to earning a PR, making it through a tough marathon training schedule or anything else that you want to do in life! Not a bad reminder to see every time I open my phone. I hope it inspires you too!

Enjoy your weekend!!!!

Any big plans for the weekend?
Who’s going on summer vacation soon?!

I hate commuting in the rain! There are so many more accidents that tie things up, and even though i have a way to get home taking backroads its still so much slower. I haven’t read Harry Potter since each of the books came out! I think we still have them at my parents’ though. Enjoy your weekend!

I love running in the rain, unless it is a hard rain. But it just changes the whole feel of the run into something, refreshing.

I have never actually read all of the Harry Potter books. I own them and tell myself all the time I need to actually read ALL of them. Then life gets busy and I don’t. I am going to have to work on that because I love the ones I have read! #slackerforlife

I plan on getting in some easy 5 mile runs this weekend courtesy of Hanson’s! 🙂 I usually take public transportation, driving in traffic makes me crazy – I’m impressed you can do it every day!!

I love running in the rain, although mine is on the trails in mud and slop. Fun to be a kid again lol.

Glad the kids are getting along and you can get some sleep. Darn kids!!

I always enjoyed the Harry Potter books. You may have inspired me to start reading these with my kids. I think they would love them.

Hiking with Mrs Schlub then up north again with the little man for some fishing. Good times!

I haven’t figured out the weekend yet lol I need to get busy!
Rain is crazy here, some people drive 60 and some drive 10, so it is nerve wracking!
I like your lock screen , I usually keep pictures from my hiking there 😉 to remind me I need to go again. Maybe I should go this weekend!

It keeps pouring here but then it doesn’t rain DURING my runs. I’m so disappointed. I want a rainy run!!

School’s out for summer, so it’s time for my reread HP, too!! I love Sorcerer’s Stone because it’s fairly lighthearted and FUNNY compared to the others! And I love all the foreshadowing. And I love seeing Harry before he realizes how famous he is. The first chapter, with the celebrations and all, is my favorite. It’s just so prophetic.

I love a rainy run so much! Hardly get them in Colorado. People can drive pretty crazy in the snow in Colorado. Either really, really slow or way to fast and then go off the road (you see a lot of big, bad ass trucks off the road. I think they think they are invincible).

I am at a hotel with shitty wifi so I can’t see the pictures in your post. Although I am imagining a cute little Georgie picture. 🙂 I miss my kitties so much. I am glad they are letting you sleep through the night!

I have never read any of the Harry Potter books. I know, I know. I have seen the movies, and WANT to read the books, but I just can’t find the time. Are they a pretty easy read? Sometimes the movies confuse me, so I was curious whether the books would confuse me.

I am on summer break for a week – before classes start back up again. I wish I had three months off! :-/

I think I’m developing a Harry Potter radar… I saw your post and just knew I had to read it… and you talked about Harry Potter. I just finished Order of The Phoenix, for about the 10th time in the last 3 years, and like you said, still finding things that I never noticed before. I still get so frustrated with Dumbledore for being super shady in Order of the Phoenix!

I was in Miami back in November, traffic there is NUTS!
