Hey guys! I hope you had a good start to the week. I had to head into Miami for a meeting in the morning; battling that traffic is never fun, but on the way home I picked up Adam for lunch and he even went with me to Sephora :).
After work I got in a good, although frustrating run. The last few times I’ve gone for a run I’ve faced the same issue over and over… it’s a frustrating little puzzle I’m trying to figure out.
If you have a few mins to watch my video definitely let me know your advice. I’m going to talk to my coach about it too.
All in all I’m really happy with my running progress so far, especially over the last couple of weeks. The only way I can describe it is that I feel like the rust is finally falling off my legs. Every run they feel stronger and less … stiff.
The first few weeks back I felt high just on being able to run again, but there was definitely tightness in my calves during every single run. My legs and feet would swell up after every run too. I really had gotten to the point where I forgot what my legs looked like when they weren’t swollen.
Now I’m able to shake the tightness off within the first couple minutes of running and I have zero swelling afterwards. I feel incredibly grateful and relieved to have gotten to this point in my recovery.
Last night Adam said to me, “remember when you had to bandage up your legs every night?” I sure do and I am so glad that I don’t have to do that anymore. The journey to get here took longer than I expected but I am so happy to be at this point.
