Hey there! Last week I wrote about being in a bit of a creative rut, but said that I had a plan to get out of it. Introducing my new blog layout is step one! I’m pretty happy with the homepage but still have work to do adjusting the post layouts. If you see anything weird please let me know.
Also please let me know if you think the font size is too small. I can’t decide if I like it this size or if I want to make it bigger like it was before.
I’ve got quite a few other creative changes planned for my blog and YouTube channel that will roll out between now and my birthday (August 4th)!
I’ve also started seriously researching and doodling out some ideas for my next tattoo. I really want to get something on my thigh that peeks out from underneath my shorts that way I can show it off or hide it depending on what I’m wearing.
I think I’ve mentioned it before but if I haven’t, I’m going to do something lion related. I really like lion tattoos that are realistic looking… but then I also want to incorporate the Leo the lion constellation outline in some way.
Here are two tattoos I found searching online that I really like. This first one is a pretty realistic looking lion. I wouldn’t want mine to be quite this large but I do want a front facing lion and really like that you can see this one’s legs. I also want to add color to my tattoo this time.
Here’s a tattoo that I think incorporates the constellation really well within the design. I think the outline of the lion is pretty realistic and majestic looking but I’m not sure I want the constellation in the body. I think I want it as an outside element.
So, why Leo the lion? I’m a Leo and my first cat was named Leo (the Lion). Also lions are cool. I wish it was deeper than that but it’s not. I’m a pretty on-the-nose kind of girl.
When I got my first little tattoo in May of last year it was really a test to see if I could handle the tattooing needles. I always planned on getting a lion tattoo at some point, I can’t believe I’ve even waited this long!
I’m excited to have some fun, creative stuff to work on in my spare time over the next month or so and to finally be seriously planning my next tattoo. Let me know what you think about the new blog layout and tattoo ideas!
