New Phone, New Video

Yesterday I had to buy a new phone. My iPhone screen starting coming away from the body out of no where. I upgraded to the iPhone 6S Plus which takes “moving pictures”? Back in my day we called those things “videos.”?

I’m amazed at how smooth the cell phone store can make the transition from one phone to another. Not only did the rep transfer all of my contacts and apps, but they kept all of my screens organized the way I like them! This amazed me because I am very particular about how I like my apps organized. I only like three rows of apps on each screen which means … I have a lot of screens ;).

Don’t mind those 131 unread emails. An untidy inbox used to stress me out, but once you get past 50 unread emails there’s just no point in worrying any longer!

After I got home from the cell phone store I finally edited a video I filmed almost two weeks ago now. It’s a Bath & Body Works haul – lots of new favorites:

This video made me realize just how badly I need to visit the salon. I very much want to put it off again this weekend since I have the A1A Half on Sunday but I’m going to have to make time.Β The situation is a code red.

Also a code red is how much I need to do today! It’s going to be a busy Wednesday so I’m off… talk again soon!

Do you have a special way you organize apps on your phone?
Does a messy inbox drive you crazy?!

When did you switch from Galaxy to iPhone? Or am I mis-remembering the phone you used to have?

I love that when you do the Cloud backup, you can basically download your phone’s info/apps/setup/everything to any new phone in minutes. I have over 1000 unread emails, by the way, so you’re doing fine!

I switched back to an iPhone last August! I held onto the Galaxy for a year but I really disliked it. I’m an apple fan girl at heart πŸ™‚

The transfer at the store took SOOOOOO long but I was really impressed that literally everything transferred over perfectly. When I went from iPhone to Galaxy I had to start from scratch and when I switched back to the iPhone I had to start from scratch so I forgot how seamless the whole thing could be! Plus, I had my previous iPhone for like 3 years? So I think back when I did my last iPhone to iPhone transfer it wasn’t as smooth… I remember having to re-arrange my icons which bugged me because I couldn’t remember the exact order I had them! haha

Love you B&BW haul! I’m actually not a huge fan of candles but I love their hand soaps. I’m like you, I don’t like scents that are too strong. Especially for hand soaps–I hate when my hands have a strong scent. My favorite was Honolulu Sun, but it looks like that was discontinued. Guess I’ll need to try some of these new scents. Iced Guava Colada sounds like it might be a winner.

I had the other type of allergy test done as a kid, where they prick a bunch of different allergens into your back (or something like that…I was 12). My allergist also kind of gave up. I had a reaction to every single thing, even the saline solution that is supposed to be the control for the test. We are basically allergy twins!

Oh yes, I totally have to organize my apps. My first screen is pretty light. It’s my “game face” page – things that make my work phone (my company pays for my phone) look like it’s really used for work. Beyond that, it’s pages of “camera” apps, “fitness” apps, “travel” apps, “finance” apps, “kid games” (seriously, I have never had time to play games on my phone, so it’s all my kid’s apps!!), etc. Lots of screen, and everything is “just so”.
The iPhone 6 Plus is like getting an upgrade on your vision, right?? Ok, maybe it’s just exciting for us folks over 40 years old. haha!!

Kristina, I could listen to you talk about candles all day!!!! Would you read me a book on tape? I’d like you to read me the history of candles.

I hate having a lot of clutter in my phone inbox. I normally put all of my apps into folders so I don’t have to look at them all the time LOL. I delete or respond to emails right after I read them and I’ve honestly found that to work the best.

    I love candles πŸ™‚
I have all my apps in little boxes on my iPhone. I like to cluster them and just have one row at the top of screen. I am little silly about keeping just one row per screen lol

  7. Cocomama

I have to group all my apps together according to subject. Church apps, Running Apps, Podcasts, Games, etc. So, i have a ton of apps all on 2 screens.

I would go crazy with 100+ unread emails!

I can only have 1 screen of apps. Makes me cut down on the apps I actually use. Good luck this weekend πŸ™‚

I’m very possibly the most disorganized person ever. My apps are spread on a ton of different screens, all of which have a different number of apps. Also a full inbox doesn’t bother me at all. Sometimes I decide that I am done with my disorganization and go through to just make everything neat and tidy… but that doesn’t last too long. Haha!
