New Vlog + An Awesome Run!

Hi there! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA around the blog world. My schedule at work the last few days has been hectic to say the least. On Monday night I had to stay up past midnight to do some work!

After writing my Valentine’s Day post about self care, I decided I needed to take a night just to relax on Tuesday.

Today I’m back with full gusto, and I have a new vlog to share! πŸ™‚

The vlog contains a little bit of shopping and a little bit of lifting but absolutely no shop lifting :D.

If you’re not already subscribed to my YouTube channel you can subscribe here. One of my goals this year is to get to 50 subscribers. It’s a totally random and arbitrary goal but your subscription would help me get there :). I only need 10 more subscribers!

On Tuesday I didn’t just miss writing a blog post but I also took the night off of running. I was just mentally and physically exhausted. I did receive a package from Oiselle the other day though, so I was really excited to try my new stuff out on last night’s run!

I bought a pair of the Strider shorts, which are just insanely soft and comfortable. Definitely my new favorite shorts. I plan to order a couple more!

I also picked up a Roga Visor in light blue which is also really soft!

I ended up doing five easy miles last night and the time literally flew by. My calves felt a little bit tight at the beginning but they loosened up really quickly and I was on cruise control the rest of the way.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had the type of run where it just feelsΒ smooth the whole time – I loved it! It was 80 degrees out which isn’t the ideal temperature but I barely noticed.

Aren’t those kind of runs the best? They more than make up for the ones where I feel like I’m struggling the whole time.

I hope that you’re having a less hectic week than I am!

How was your Valentine’s Day?Β
Any exciting weekend plans coming up?Β

Those runs are the best! This week has been a bit hectic for me too, but the good thing is that its going by really quickly and its already Thursday!!

I miss effortless, awesome runs like that! It feels like forever since I’ve had one. Maybe the warmer weather is actually GOOD for our calves!

Your runs are so beautiful. Makes me so jealous when I have grey pavement, grey fields, and grey skies. Winter is so blah.

As soon as you said only 10 books I thought, well 7 for HP obviously. Glad to see you had the same thought. I’m really surprised Eat and Run didn’t make your shelf though.

Omg that’s Watchmen. I need to communicate with Adam so we can spend endless hours chatting about The Miz and Watchmen. What else do we have in common…hmmm…

Valentine’s day was awesome, home cooked dinner, small gifts for everyone. Just a great day to spend with the ones we love.

We make our kitties run for treats as well! πŸ™‚ We feel like maybe when they run they burn of the extra calories from their treats!

That beach view is amazing! Great job on constructing that shelf. Your place is really coming together. It will be interesting when I need to shop for my basement furnishings. I’m not much of a home decorator, and neither is Alan! Lots of decisions to make (as you know!).
