New Vlog: Celebrations and Goodbyes!

Hi there! Today I’ve got a new vlog for you that Adam and I filmed over the weekend :). Cecil makes a couple of appearances too and somehow comes off as the star of the show!

This year I want to vlog a lot more. I’m hopeful that vlogging will get me out of the house and thatΒ Adam and I will do a lot of fun things throughout 2017!

Last night wasn’t so fun. While I was out on my run I tripped on an uneven part of the sidewalk, fell and scraped my knees and my left elbow.

I think the last time I fell and scraped my knee was when I was a kid. I forgot how painful it is!

To take my mind off of it I’ve been working on using my blog’s Facebook Page again. If you want to connect please give my page a Like. I’ll be hosting a giveaway on Facebook tomorrow :).

Have you ever fallen during a run?!

I have fallen while running several times! Once I even broke my finger. Its such a weird feeling to fall since its not something we are used to anymore! Your vlog was very impressive- i love the part where you speed it up to music while driving!

OUCH! That broken finger sounds painful. I think I may have sprained my shoulder when I fell. I can barely raise my arm without being in intense pain πŸ™ But I am lucky I didn’t break anything!

I’m sorry about your fall! Come to NC and you can get some cooler weather πŸ™‚

When I fell this past summer I had a huge spot that was bleeding all over. But I still finished my long run with blood dripping down my leg!! It didn’t really hurt, but looked pretty gruesome! And now, still have a big scar from that. Not sure how many years it will take it to go away. And… very happy no one saw me trip. DOH!

LISA!!! That’s so intense! You are a warrior!

I had a pretty gnarly fall on a run once. It was a few weeks after my first marathon. I’d just done a baller tempo run and was cruising through my cool down, on top of the world, and before I knew it I was face down on the sidewalk. I was going downhill and I had tripped on an uneven sidewalk square. Luckily I wasn’t hurt, but it did scrape a huge chunk of skin off my knee and I had to hobble the last .3 miles home with blood gushing down my leg. That scrape was so bad that it was painful to bend my knee for like 3 weeks!

OUCH! That sounds so painful. Luckily I didn’t scrap my knees bad enough that I was bleeding although it did hurt to bend my knees the first two days. I mostly fell on my side and what hurts the most is my left shoulder. I think I might have sprained it a bit because I can barely lift my arm up at all without lots of pain πŸ™

This vlog was the best! I really feLtd like I was hanging out with you and Adam! That sad feeling you got leaving your apartment… I remember that feeling when I left mine. It’s weird.. I was so happy to be moving into a house with paul but there are just so many memories associated with where you live. I’m going to see if I can get pauls to do sn outfit of the day for you on snapchat!

I loved Paul and your OOTD! πŸ™‚

I’ve fallen while running more times then I care to admit. The worst was while running on my honeymoon in Hawaii. Fortunately it was like our last day there, because I was in really bad shape. I came down hard on my elbow and scraped a few inches of skin off (both knees too). My elbow was so swollen and the wound was so gross looking…but I got to take home a funny story and a souvenir scar so I guess there’s that, ha!

    Hope your knees are okay!

I’m glad you could laugh about it! That sounds so painful! Luckily I didn’t scrap anything enough that I had blood gushing out. I honestly wish there was video of me falling because I seem to have scraped myself in so many areas. I think I fell initially on my left side because my left elbow and shoulder are the worst. But then I also scraped my knees and my right knuckles. Like, how in the world did that happen?!

You’re getting good with your vlogs. The music while driving was solid. Btw…does Adam own shoes lol…every video and picture he is either barefoot or wearing sandals.

Hello trail running, I fall all the time. If nothing is broken I figure it’s a success.

Hahahahah if it were up to him he would never wear shoes! He wears sandals as often as he can. I think he only has one pair of dress shoes for work, but then again he only goes to the office twice a week so I guess that’s okay!

I hate tripping! Never any fun! My most memorable trip & fall was on my first or second run wearing my first “investment running tights” from lululemon. I LOVED these tights (and still do- 9 years later!) and tripped in them on my first or second run! I tore the knee just slightly and was devastated. I have taken to running much more cautiously on the ice/snowy spots here in Chicago in the winter (which was how I fell).

My husband falls a lot as he doesn’t have the best balance. We keep big bandages, neosporin & liquid bandage out on our main bedroom dresser for easy access at home. #sexy

Hahahahahah that’s hilarious that you keep them in the dresser! πŸ˜€

That really stinks about the tights. I definitely feel your pain since I pretty much ruined my new phone case which was expensive, but at least my phone is undamaged!

Ugh…the fall. Well, hope this makes you feel better: last year I fell 3 times (2x while running and 1x while walking into the jr. high school to watch my nephew’s basketball game…all of them were sidewalks and thankfully no one was around to see them but man, I always bruise my body so badly). This year, I have already fallen 1 x. So, there you go! P.S. I have also gone over my bike handle bars 3x as an adult. Seriously.

SUSAN!!! I am so surprised by this. I totally pictured you as one of the most graceful people ever. I’m so glad to know we’re both clumsy πŸ™‚

OMG, not graceful at all! My BIL said to me once “you are the clumsiest athlete I have ever met” which basically sums it up! Let’s just say when I go down stairs I always hang onto the railing because I know myself too well and taking a tumble is far to easy for me!
