Hey there! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving if you’re here in the US. I made cat cookies but I ended up not sharing them with anyone because I messed up half the batch trying to decorate them, oops! I should have just left them plain!
BTW I got the cat cookie cutter for only $5 on Amazon!
Making cookies was one of the highlights for my long weekend because I ended up breaking out in a rash/hives all over my body. Turns out I am HIGHLY allergic to the antibiotic that my doctor put me on :(.
I spent most of the Thurs – Sunday drugged up on Benedryl which makes me SO SLEEPY. I think I slept 75% of the day each day. Finally, as of Sunday afternoon I am starting to feel less itchy although the bumps are still all over me (and so gross looking, ugh, that’s why I haven’t vlogged in a while).
I did make it out Saturday morning to get my nails done and to do a little Black Friday-ish shopping. The find I am most proud of are these pajama bottoms which were only $7 at Old Navy.
They’re only $12.99 regular price so if you missed the sale but want these pajama bottoms I think they are still a steal! I mean, you’ll probably want to wear these all year long, right? 🙂
Adam and I also made it over to The Atlantic Hotel for a bite to eat on Sunday. We were supposed to go to their new restaurant, Coastal, for our anniversary dinner Saturday night but I was too sleepy from the Benedryl. We decided to just do lunch there on Sunday instead … except on Sunday’s they only do their buffet brunch which we didn’t want.
We ended up just heading up to the pool deck where they serve regular lunch with a pretty great view.
I really wanted to try Coastal but no complaints from me, we’ll just save Coastal for another day!
After lunch we just did the usual – grocery shopping and football watching. Then we took Cecil out for a walk since the weather is starting to cool down and it feels SO NICE outside! (By cool down I mean it was only 79 degrees.)
I am looking forward to this coming week because I see my doctor on Wednesday. I am hopeful that he’s going to take out my stitches and clear me to get back to running. I’ve been really good about managing the swelling most days and everything looks like it’s healing well.
FINGERS CROSSED! I’ll let you know how it goes!
How was your Thanksgiving? Did you run a Turkey Trot?
