OMG did you know…?! (High School Classes)

Hey there! I haven’t had a ton of time to vlog during the day this week with work being a little nuts, but I didn’t want to miss another post. I will have another vlog soon but instead today I’m sharing some random facts and talking about my high school classes!

I’m allergic to cats.
I just pretend I’m not.

I’m severely allergic to dogs.
I ignore that fact.

I can give Adam piggy back rides.
That’s one of the benefits of squatting heavy.

I’m going on vacation in 8 days.
OMG Can. Not. Wait.

We still don’t know what we’re doing on vacation.
The cruise still isn’t confirmed but our flights to London are booked.

^ More info on the vacation situation in the video above.

Half my garden is NOT in bloom.
IDK what happened. Half my flowers are blooming beautifully and half look like green bushes with no blooms.

We caught a flying grasshopper with the vacuum.
A huge grasshopper flew in the house and Adam and I were scared of it so he vacuumed it up with a hose attachment and then we let it free outside. It was fine!

Arrested Development Season 5 comes out soon.

Lucy Ricardo and Lucille Bluth are my favorite TV characters of all time.
I guess you could say I love Lucy.

I am seeing JT this weekend in concert.
I stan Justin and even though I haven’t liked his last three albums Future Sex/Love Sounds was good enough to hold me over for a lifetime.

I took a typing class in high school.
I can type very fast and very accurately (and I use the home row keys). I took an online test that said I was in the top 1% of typers lol.

I took a web development class in high school.
I learned how to make sites using Microsoft FrontPage. I made an NSYNC fan site and a Harry Potter fan site. I even interviewed Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) for my site.

I took a child development class my sophomore year of high school.
I remember my baby waking me up in the middle of the night crying and I knew then I would never have a baby. Jokes on me because Cecil is now 10 years old and he still wakes me up for middle of the night feedings.

I took Chemistry 1 and 2 in high school.
For my final project I made ice cream with dry ice and it was a big hit. Ngl, the rest of my classmates did kind of boring projects.

I don’t know why I started telling you about my classes lol.
Trying to think if I took any other fun classes… I don’t think so!

What were your most memorable classes?
Who is your favorite TV character of all time?

We had to take typing in middle school but I never got into the home row. I currently type with mainly three fingers. Sometimes I use a fourth! I feel like I got used to the way I like to type before I was taught the proper way and then I didn’t take the time to unlearn my way. The muscle memory is just too permanent now!

Weird/interesting high school classes… I took a class called Journalism but all we did was work on the yearbook. But I barely did that so it turned into a study hall. I took a class called office tech where we learned how to you microsoft office and use a calculator. A CALCULATOR. I never followed what the book told me to do and just hit random keys on the calculator and talked to my friend the whole class period. My teacher was nearing retirement and did not care.

It’s fun to look but at certain teachers/classes as an adult and realize.. Oh yeah, they didn’t care what was going on in there!

I took typing in 8th grade and it’s been so helpful for me in my job. I can type quite fast, I can also talk and type at the same time (always impresses Rick so that is a bonus! LOL). My favorite classes in HS were chemistry, biology but probably the most interesting was anatomy. But I am not going to tell you what we dissected because you are my friend and I don’t want to upset you 🙂 BTW, severely allergic to cats and very allergic to dogs but I ignore it. I have to make sure Macy doesn’t nuzzle up to my neck because I get a rash. But I can give her kisses and pet her as much as I want with very little collateral damage.

I love that you are allergic to cats. That’s pretty funny. I am definitely not and Elly takes full advantage of that by sleeping right next to my face and getting fur all over me. And since it’s spring, Elly is in full shedding mode.

My favorite class in high school was probably American History. I had a fantastic teacher and now I have a really solid base to draw upon. I have read a lot of books about different presidents and wars. It sounds super boring, but I so love it. Haha!
